Looks real good! I’m with you, logos have deterred me on several products. I don’t mind the logos where they can’t be seen, and in some cases I think it’s kind of neat ( like my Rago bed stiffeners, or a diff skid ) In some cases it’s obnoxious (Softopper).

Bumpers are one instance where logos definitely don’t belong. This DRT high tuck rear bumper is possibly the nicest on the market. I don’t think anyone will buy one because they see a DRT logo on someone’s rig in a parking lot.

I opt for a lot of 5.11 gear vs Nike because of the lack of logos. Some Adidas Ultraboost have very subtle stripes you can barely see them.

To me the embossed Tacoma on the tailgate is cool, bed decals not so much. Then again I’m the guy who had the Leer logo recessed filled in and painted over on my shell.

well put! I can understand what you’re saying. I put my logos on my products because it really does help me since I am small one man shop. I’ve gotten many emails saying something along the lines of I saw your parts on a Tacoma and that’s how I found you. Everyone knows who the larger companies are but if you loved a product I made and saw it in the wild there would be no way for you to find it with out some sort of logo. It’s also a sense of pride. My goal is to make the nicest parts available and hope that my logo will become a synonym with quality in the Toyota market.

Yes sir, Derik! I can attest your parts are synonymous with quality. And seeing how you keep your shop so clean and organized its no surprise how pretty those welds you do by hand are.
Derik did my cab mount and I also have his hitch skid and shackle hangers and will be my go to for bed stiffeners and anything else. I proudly support his logo on the products I've gotten.

I'm jealous Ahsoka is the test truck for that bumper!! haha

2016+ Tacoma TRD pro/OR update. First article fit well. Some small changes needed to finalize production parts

Hey, Derik @drtfabrication. I was wondering if you customize any of your parts? Specifically the lo-pro bars. I really dig those and am planning to get a set regardless, but would ideally love something that rose up a bit higher.

hey dude! Not currently but that shouldn’t be something too hard to do. What height are you thinking? The biggest reason I haven’t made a taller option is because of shipping. The lo-pros are kind of difficult to ship. I think a 10” height rack would be more similar to the 16.5” bed rack

Ah realized I didn't respond! I took some measurements and I'm not sure if my original thought makes much sense. Originally I was thinking that if the bars were slightly higher you'd be able to see your blind spots a bit better with an RTT mounted to the bars. But because the RTT sits so close to the back of the cab you'd probably need to go quite a bit higher, which would require a much larger rack in general. So probably not worth it all that much, just better to invest in some spotter mirrors and drive carefully when switching lanes.

haha yea you would have to get a taller rack to achieve that. My 16.5” rack sits right above the back window line 7D59EFA3-4F4E-4719-9B79-8DB9EEAE1B52.jpg

Well in either case, just put in an order for the lo-pro bars! Psyched to rock them man.

for the HC rear bumper there is no hitch rating, like most after market products, but structurally would you have any concerns towing within the tow rating of the truck? I tow a 2,000-2500lb 4x4 trailer. interested to see the final design and pricing with the swing out!
