Took the Grom out to try out some baffle combinations on the new exhaust and I think I have one that works, finally. Took the chance to snap some field pics as I was swapping between two options:

Your definition of super sketch bridge and my definition are completely different! This is what I think of.

My tires were sitting on my porch when I got home last night. Just waiting for the chain and the rear tube to be back in stock

Smart to pass. $2,800 is too much in that condition. If it was a FZ1, sure. But not for a FZ6.

I've been looking into SV1000s and FZ1s, but I just know a liter bike is gonna get me dead or with a fat fine. Might try and snag a z900 as I hear they're a fair bit more tame than the hyped up 1000s

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!

Sv1000 feels tamer than the FZ1. Power is more linear with the twin, where as the FZ’s power cracks open in the mid/hi rev.

If you’re a seasoned rider, I wouldn’t hesitate to get an sv1000. It will ride better at hwy speeds. The sv650 is more flickable in the twistys. Really depends on where you like the power delivery, rpm range and engine breaking. I tend to enjoy the twins, as I like the grunt and engine breaking. 4 bangers are fun, they just put me into a race mentality, like my 2 stroke KTMs.

I wouldn't say super seasoned, probably have 5000 miles between this year and last. Started on an FZ-07 and moved to the Warrior. After riding the FZ6 I think I definitely enjoy the power delivery of twins better, it comes on early and stays predictable. The 4 banger was gutless until 8-9k and then it finally woke up. 2 stroke power band is a great way to describe it. Though that one might not have been a great introduction to inline bikes, it ran pretty poorly

I'll have to dig into the sv1000 more, also been considering a vfr800 but they're tough to find around here. Honestly the most fun I've had on a bike was a Buell X1 lightning, but it was pretty well haggard and not worth the asking price

VFR are smooth bikes with a lot of power across the powerband.
Maybe an SV650 is in your wheel house if you liked the buell. I had the N version, or also known as naked. This gave me the option of having my own handlebars I like vs clip ons.
You will get more wind protection with an A model, and you’re not as leaned over as you are on a GSXR.

My biggest fear of the sv650 is the same reason I sold the Fz07, I got used to the power and it just didn't feel exciting anymore. I've never ridden one though, so they're absolutely on my radar at least to try. Everyone seems to unanimously love them, I'd probably spring for the fugly gladius as it's damn near the same bike for dirt cheap.

The X1 had a perfect amount of power at 100hp and 90lb ft. But I'm a short dude so I struggled to start and stop on it. The VFR seems like it would be a great bike overall. Good power, good torque, decent fuel economy... Just have to get my hands on one

Hows the noco compare to a good lead battery in the grom as far as cranking umph? Ever since i went bbk with higher comp the stock starter/stock sized lead battery are marginal.
