This has become one of my go to’s. I’m a big fan.

 

I read they can be inconsistent bottle to bottle.

That said, the one time I tried it it was very good. That barrel was on point.

I would agree with this statement. I've had some killer bottles, and I've had two that met my drain. But when it's good it's really good.

 

I’ve had one bottle. Anyone can go back through the bottles that I post and I’m not a bourbon snob by any measure. The bottle that I got was terrible. Even as a mixer it sucked. I haven’t had the guts to try my luck on another bottle. Perhaps one day I’ll spin the wheel again. Cheers.

I have no idea how many bottles I’ve drank over the course of a year, but I’ve never had an issue. Always been fabulous.

 

Ya it's interesting how different things can be depending on the region, and just some luck. I've had 4 Weller Single Barrels in the last few years. I opened the first two and was extremely disappointed. I traded the other two. I know people rave over Weller SB, it just doesn't do it for me.

 

I don't have any Blantons gold, but I've got other good stuff. If you can't find a good bottle I might have got something I can send your way.
