    Afternoon all:

Hit the lake last night, only managed 2 Walleyes, but that's better than none, looks like the freezer won't be too well stocked this year.

No, not really if it's more than that.... I'm grateful that my heart meds are inexpensive, but other stuff, not so much

My wife takes care of the eye meds. She may buy another round in December.

Smoking a rack of ribs and making baked beans today. Put the pinto beans on to soak las night. Going to prep the ribs in a few minutes before I hit the gym.

Actually $519. Eye drops are expensive. And you need them after cataract and/or retina surgery.

Thanks Mike. The generic drops are close to $500 too. With respect to healthcare and drugs our elected officials really let the country down.

Good morning. Memorial day means a lot to our generation and generation that followed us. So many of or parents, aunts, and uncles fought in WWII. Take some time to remember lost loved ones today.

    That's a great image...

Walking military graveyards always makes me think of what is buried beneath the grass. A lot of hopes and dreams, and not just those people lost, but those that loved them. Ripples that spread out into society and into the future. It makes me wonder how those lost would feel about the rancor of present day politics. The pettiness. We often forget that we owe a debt to those beneath the soil. A debt we owe to our children too. A debt we can only pay by making our homes secure, our government functional, future generations free to chart their own course. We are not without a duty as civilians. We are obliged to make it work... a small price compared to that made by those beneath the grass.

Took a ride yesterday afternoon to Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery to pay my respects. Something very sobering about slowly riding through and seeing the rows of headstones and markers and thinking about what they all mean.
