That’s what I’ve heard too. Early sidewall cracking. And I’m the same way. I think these trucks look better without tire shine

Thanks! I used an adhesive-backed weatherstrip I found at Home Depot - cut two equal-length pieces per side and doubled them up to allow more overlap with the tonneau seal.

Grabbed a photo of the product for reference.

So I forgot about this. I installed my El Cheapo Amazon "Pro Style" lights about a month ago or so and have had no issues. Not sure if they are different from actual Pro lights, and I don't really care as I have fully embraced late stage truck ownership at this point and just wanted a non broken light.

The replacements are blacked out where my OEM backup sockets were chrome. Otherwise, inside instead of saying made in Mexico like the OEM, the Amazon ones say Made in China of course. I did swap all the replacement bulbs with my OEM ones and I guess I have some slight concerns on long term quality, but late stage ownership... They fit the same as OEM.

I think only the front skid comes in aluminum. It's a trade off because aluminum is softer and 'stickier' so my understanding is that if you're going to use the skid much steel is much better. My intent is to not push the limits of my armor, but since I live in the Rockies there is a very good chance I will use it. My 4Runner's factory skid is didn't look very good.

FWIW, this is the paint RCI says matches their powder coat perfectly to use for touchups: Krylon 'Rust Tough' Semi-Flat Black Rust Preventive Enamel

Remember to label the cans so you always have water cans that only ever held water ...
