She's a fantastic dog. She's a rescue from my local humane society.

 

Our newest Nettles, 6 years old got her 2 months ago, super sweet but super shy

Nana who we got when she was 3 is 9 now and is a wonderful friend

 

He doesn’t mind them being on as long as he’s occupied, but once he gets bored he will want them off, lol. They are made by Rex Specs.

its an unfortunate side product of the wonderful creatures us dog lovers take in & get attached to so quickly.

it always sucks & every time it bothers me more than it does the loss of anyone who is not super close family.

spot on about having the vet come to your house or send the dose home with you (our vet will do either). will never have to put down another one of my dogs "the hard way" again or make their last day anxiety riddled by the vet trip.

& kudo's to you for making the hard choice & doing it right away vs letting him suffer. never again will we let one go too long.

this is especially true with my EBD's..... these guys live & love really hard.. they just dont last very long.

Kilo will be 5 this July. Been my best friend since he was 3 months old when we adopted him. My girlfriend (now wife) picked him out of the 300 dogs at this adoption event. Incredible dog. He has taught me so much and I’ve become a damn good dog trainer because of him. We just hiked Stratton mountain last weekend. It was his first summit. 15 miles and he kicked butt. He loved the hike so much. We typically do shorter day hikes a couple times a week. This was a great trip.

 

KODA is 6 months old today !

 

Sorry for your loss. I totally agree with having the vet come to the house. They are less stressed and deserve it at that moment.

 

Someone got a new bed. Tail wouldn't stop wagging he was so happy!

This dog just doesn't care

 

Got Dex's breed/DNA test results back today from EmbarkVet, we were curious what else he might have in him...he looks like a full blown Husky but he is larger than most (almost 70lbs, not overweight). Male huskies usually top out at 55 - 60 at most.

But as it turns out...
