Neighbors probably think I’m crazy with how hot it is outside, found some time this morning to work on the truck. Did a shakedown run last weekend and tires were rubbing the fenders a little when stuffed so did some trimming. I’ve been wanting to do this for a while just because of the look, less flare. But just haven’t had the guts to. So went ahead and did the fronts today which I’m pretty happy with the results. Rears will have to wait for another day, to hot. Still need to paint the inner fenders black and also shorten the front bumper a little. But that will require some cutting and welding.

Have to get the time in on the truck when it’s available. Today after work I started working on the bedside/flare trimming. Was able to get the passenger side cut.

Tires rubbed the front bumper just a little so went ahead and cut 2 1/2” off the bumper.

It’s been a while. Been caught up with Daughters travelball. Currently on a break from that while she plays High School ball.

So been catching up with some maintenance, possibly switching up a few things and getting ready for a few trips while I can. Took the truck in for a tire Rotation a few weeks ago. Spent New Years in Vegas with the family. While we were out there we visited CVT to check a few items out and picked up a tent for a friend. Hopefully should be able to get the truck all caught up on maintenance and ready for a Death Valley Trip next month. :fingerscrossed:14BE25C6-041E-4322-A948-70DA3CFB8042.jpg465B5BE2-1A94-4EBA-9FA5-3D128E36BF1F.jpg 3E1354BE-2AB3-4E03-AF27-642A02EFF96A.jpg

Wanted to have two seperate setups for camping, depending on what type of trip. The RTT is very comfy but if you’re wanting to save a spot you’re usually having to leave a few other items behind. Ended up purchasing a Gazelle floor tent and Exped mattress. Also was able to find a good deal on a used softtopper local. Really like the look (wife doesn’t). Only time will tell how I really feel about it but for the price was worth a shot.

It was lol. Was a little cold to be standing around but the scenery was awesome. I’ve only been off-roading in the snow a few times. Mad respect for the guys who rock crawl in the snow!

Cruised around Anza this last weekend for the holiday weekend. Was a little busy but not too bad. Mainly went out to see how we liked the Gazelle tent. Overall I would say it’s a nice floor tent setup. Goes up quick, good size and nice material. Thought I had a good idea for my stock fender liners to still be used with the cut fenders and LT, didn’t quite work out.haha Had one liner rip out while going a little fast through fish creek. So will be looking into options. This was also the first trip with the softtopper. Definitely a lighter setup haha.

Played with 35’s today. @Slidoomz let me borrow his spare to test fit. Just to see more or less what will be needed when/if I do go up a size. Stuffed at bump I clear w/shock removed. But when I turn the wheel I rub front of wheel well. Just bored playing with the truck, currently happy with my setup right now. So we’ll see :notsure:

Also moved my Switchpro Switch module to center console. Made a little mount and figured I would try something new. Road sodas will block fun buttons when off-roading but it’s not a deal breaker

    Few changes to the truck…

First I sold my Bedslide, I loved it. Made getting things in and out of the bed super easy. But at the same time I lost a little space and added some weight to the bed. Also Added a Wilco spare tire mount to the bed, I know attaching to the bed rail is not the best option but also may add straps to help secure. For now it works. Lastly I removed my 285/75/17’s and through on some 315/70/17’s. Feel the tires look better on a long bed, at first was nervous about it but after this weekends trip I’m pretty satisfied with them. Went with Toyo Open country RT trails.

Also,Turned this weekend into a 4 day weekend and headed out with a group to Sedona. With it being a holiday weekend yes it was a little busy but it was doable. Had some fun!
