Don't bother taking it somewhere. Justin has these on lock and is well experienced with doing them.

Just because he does them doesn't mean they are exclusively locked to him, if there is something you need to or want to change later on you can do that if you choose.

The software is actually very simple to understand and is much easier to deal with in comparison to something like Gen V GM vehicles that are torque based tuning. That's where it gets really complicated. All you need to understand how to do on these is how to setup proper logging channels and then from there you can easily do things like scaling your MAF, modifying timing, fueling, etc. etc.

That being said, however, in order to obtain accurate information, you need to have a wideband installed in the exhaust. This will ensure your air fuel ratio is spot on to what is being commanded by PE.

I think OTT does lock the tunes now. At least for my Tundra I can't change things myself unless probably I did a new Read and new Write. But you can't see the changes in their file provided, is my point. Which is understandable. They have proprietary trade secret changes they make in there

Don’t forget, you may want to have it VIN matched if your county/state requires emissions testing. Not sure how strict they will be in the computer matching the VIN read off the ECU.

Was driving last night and out of nowhere felt a singular stumble while cruising. Checked the code while I was driving in the PCM, it was a P0351. Cleared it and the code never came back. Looks like I may need to replace the RIPP coils back to the OE ones.

I have 253k now and have the 420/430 codes. Smog due in April. Was gonna gut the cat and run an o2 sim or preferable get some take offs. Was looking into aftermarket manifolds too since they never look anyways lol

I'm having the P0420 issue as well but all I ever have to do is clear mind every so often and it doesn't come back for a long time so I'm definitely right on the bleeding edge of the threshold.

Ah that would be a bummer
my last smog the tech was deep into it. I think if it as least 02 sensors it would have been ok

I was looking at these if I couldn’t find any OEM. As long as they don’t look brand new I was thinking I could pass OK
    0C538EFF-63F2-42DE-A4A8-4E49B0FBF310.jpg

or just unbolt the y pipe and gut them completely and run an o2 sim or a spacer for the sensor. I feel like the spacer is kind of obvious though

Damn those are as singular as exhaust manifolds get. I've never seen something like that before. CARB certified? I presume no most likely.

Def doubt being certified those are a bit wild. Only way that passes is like @anthony250f noted would have to be super dirty or muddy. All depends on the tech. He asked me alot if questions. And got under the car with a mirror and light said he was looking for 02 sensors but may also have been looking for the codes/stamps. not busy out the book but he was on point. Also likely since the last one was first and first with S/C they required him to do some extra tests and he only noted that’s what it tells me to do. some of this is all luck of the draw on the tech. I did get him to do the initial visual before we decided to do the smog So I felt good about it.
