I'm pretty sure you can set up failsafe conditions in a WB DTC can't you?

Yep, just double checked. Lots of options for safety. I wouldn't worry about a WB failure if you set this right @betterbuckleup

Wow I'm surprised this wasn't turned on in my tune. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. That should bring some peace of mind for if a wb failure were to happen

You do need to set the severity level in the Sensors section as well, just as a heads up

Not sure if anyone's been thinking about how to pass OBDII-based emissions tests with larger injectors yet (w/o removing them), but all that should require is a properly sized resistor shunted across the GR-R and BR-W wires of the MAF sensor, and a bit of time/driving for the factory ECU to hit the OBDII emissions readiness checks. Then you can just leave it soldered since we obviously don't use it for any other purpose.

    upload_2023-5-30_13-1-16.jpg

Functionally it drops MAF voltage so factory ECU thinks less air is coming in and drops the injector pulses accordingly.

also I think the way SNP calibrated the intake temp sensor is asymptotically wrong (the ends should curve opposite the way they do)

Does the boomslang still pass MAF data to the OEM ECU?

I think you may just end up with a MAF code unless your injectors are a very modest increase in size (<35% or so). They expect a certain amount of flow at idle (and probably other points) to not trip the maf code

idk? You have to remove the PnP harness in this case anyway - returning to factory

Wonder if you could use a varistor to adjust until you're within o2 trimmable range and avoid the short circuit MAF logic.

Thought it might be nice to test the theory with it running on the haltech but watching the O2 and Inj duty logging on the OBDII as you adjust the resistor values

Ah true, yep. I'm pretty sure it goes through because I don't have the P0100

"Combustion Vibration" makes it sound exotic and desirable haha

We all have the haltech hooked to our check engine lights as well. But the Haltech OBDII output is only good for regular data stream... temps, pressures... whatnot. It cannot create readiness monitors (or we haven't found a way to yet)

You know I never checked to see if it didn't just say "not equipped" instead of fail... maybe if they were all "not equipped" it would still pass since there were no fails?

Good question. I think it still has to report that they are not supported though
