2021 TRD off Road or SR5 with TRD off Road Stickers?

@Buckshank Please remember one thing about Tacomaworld is that there are alot of people on here who post up incorrect information about what truck has what. From your description your truck is a 2021 Trail Edition. One thing that stands out from your info is that it has the bed outlet. This was only available on the TRD Off Road, TRD Sport, TRD Pro, and the Trail Edition. It was not available on the base SR5. Since your truck does not have the locker, its not a Off Road, or a Pro, It does not have a scoop so it is not a Sport. The 2021 Trail Edition package has the following options:

Trail Special Edition Package (V6 Short Bed only) includes: - 16-in. TRD Off-Road wheels and tires, lockable bed storage (includes insulation on the driver’s side to double as a cooler), black badging, Limited-style grille, unique Black fabric seats with tan stitching, 120V outlet15 in bed, and all-weather floor liners.

The lockable bed storages boxes that are supposed to be on your truck were probably removed by the previous owner before being traded in at the dealer.

This is a 22 trail it has a locker and not sure but most should have a trail badge

I agree I do believe it is the trail edition and the owner just took out the lockable storage but then added the TRD OFF Road Stickers.

Yes it was. Obviously I’m a dumb ass for not looking closer but they advertised it as a TRD off road and it’s not.

I work for Toyota and I've offered to run the VIN and tell him exactly what he has so everyone can stop guessing what packages he has but apparently guessing is the route everyone wants to go. ‍

Are the seats completely covered in black fabric? Those black seats are exclusive to the Trail Edition, extremely unlikely anyone swaped the TE seats into a standard SR5. Standard SR5 would have gray seat fabric. Also the color match rear bumper is exclusuve to the Trail Edition, standard SR5 rear bumper is chrome.

 

Don't know how its guessing when it has the factory SR5 badges on the doors and aftermarket OR decals on the bed. I don't work for Toyota, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

 

Don't forget that if factory bumper is chrome, then previous owner can slap the color matched bumper caps onto the bumper to hide the chrome or he might have it painted color matched. If VIN says Trail Edition, then it would be different story.
