    I think that's probably close - I'd guess $4k.

    $2600 advertised price
    $400 destination
    $400 TTL (10% + other fees)
$500-600 in ADM (or baked in as freight, etc)

I really just want to see how much they'd charge to use as a bargaining point if I go see the 2018 Z125 for $2400 (considering it needs a tune up, been dropped on both sides and is 5 years old I'm going to offer $2k and see what happens).

I sent an email and text to this dealer the other day. List price of $3996....and they wanted $5293 OTD. They wouldn't respond after I asked where the extra $1297 came from. Folks have gone crazy

I guess I'll see how much the seller is willing to move, probably will walk at $2400 since it requires a tune up and has some damage, but $2200 or less I'd take it.

My friend has a chinese Grom clone and wants $1400 for his with another $100 in back fees/reg. I think I'd rather just get a Z125 for the extra ~$500-700.

Also did the Navi speedo cable "recall". It was just pulling the headlight, disconnecting the cable from the speedo and rerouting it. Took me 10 min and much less time required vs putting the bike in my truck to go to the dealer to have them do it.

Oooo yeah buy a grom clone for wheelie / stunt practice, carburated easy to work on and cheap. I like that idea.

At $1500 though vs ~$2200 for a Z125 I would rather have the real Z125 though.

If there is an actual safety recall... unfortunately you have to have a dealer do it (or have them at least sign off on the paperwork that its proper) to get your vin cleared for registration renewal.... at least thats how it is here in california

Ugh. I'm also in California and just got my registration renewal notice too. What a pain in the butt.

I feel a little bad for "lowballing" but I'll do that and see. Even meeting in the middle and getting $200 off seems decent if the bike checks out.

Id imagine for such a simple fix a honda moto dealer should be able to write it up real quick. Least it didnt have two fuel pump recalls like my grom.....

Naw all part of the game IMO. If the seller isnt willing to talk to you about price even if its like "hey man thats just too low for me" then its probably not a person you want to buy from IMO.

I hate getting offers sight unseen so I'm going to take a look at it first and then make an offer in person.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
But that was when paper towels weren’t $20

Eh, I would rather a person lowball me over the phone instead of wasting both of our time coming to look at it and then lowballing me in person.

Yeah, it's an actual actual recall. I have the notice sitting on my table, I need to take it in some weekend.

Same. I'm a big fan of "hey, here's what it'd be worth to me, let me know your thoughts, if we're too far apart thats OK. "
