    Yes
The OE white paint is a single stage paint which means that it does not have a clear coat over the paint so mud like that can actually seep into and stain the paint. So if it is an actual stain and not on the surface a degreaser or anything like that will not touch it you’ve got to dig / cut into the paint with a buffing compound. With pro chems like maguires it is actually surprisingly easy to do even by hand

    Lots of updates.

    IMG_4651.jpg

This is what the wrap is looking like after just about a year :/
    IMG_4652.jpg
factory wiring harness taken care of, Holley stuff routed to the side it needs to be on. And paint cleaned :)

    IMG_4653.jpg
poly front core support mounts changed out.

    IMG_4658.jpg
engines in! Supported by the frame!

We did just take it back out though, need to finish weld the mounts and plate them. But fucking finally we’re making some headway here. Sunday we should have the motor in its resting place permanently. The NP261HD’s mount lines up perfectly over the stock cross member.

Reoriented the battery tray so I won’t have to relocate it. Tonight I’ll try and get my transmission cooler setup and fluids filled in everything. Gotta wire up the big 3 as well. Then once the trans crossmember is back from repair, it’ll start!

Just wanted to provide the motor mount plate files that @tacotunner06 shared with me. Upload these over to sendcutsend and it's like 50$ for all 4 needed. Cut out of 3/16" Mild steel.
Ill have my crossmember back tonight, its being plated and modified to fit the new transmission.

Neglected to think about my fuel system, the Tacoma is a return system, the LS6 is returnless, so I ordered a fuel pressure regulator that will house my fuel pressure transducer as well, and it includes a return.
