    Hi all, what do you use to clean this part of the engine? I've tried cleaners but so far nothing has worked. Sorry, I'm not an engine guy so I don't know the name of the part.

    This is not from my engine, I wish mine looked that good.

    Mostly stock, added custom wood bed rails and a Sony/Infinity stereo system
    I did clean the valve cover after adjusting the valves, but thats about it... Original and never detailed... Shortly after this picture, I did have the upper radiator tank crack, and spew fresh pink/red coolant everywhere...

    If you’re removing it, use aerosol cans of oven cleaner and any cheap degreaser along with nice piping hot water. On the truck you could still use a spray bottle of piping hot water and any cheap spray on degreaser along with a stiff bristled brush - I’d keep away from the aerosol oven cleaner when cleaning on the vehicle. But it’s good to remove it and get all the built up soot and sludge if you know it’s original.
