This is the first time in my NASCAR fandom I don't hate any of the HMS drivers. It's weird.

What you do have to think about with Chase getting suspended is how in the Fuck has Ross not been set for a race or two? I get that Chase flat out hooked Denny but Ross has been way more aggressive.

Probably because neither of them have very clearly and intentionally right hooked someone on the front stretch at 180 MPH :notsure:

Most of Ross' moves can be chalked up to boneheaded driving, not intentionally wrecking someone.

I think the aftermath of Denny's car has something to do with it. That by no stretch was an easy hit.

Neither was Larson's. I get it comes down to it being intentional but NASCAR also can't prove that Chase did that with intent. It does look that way but this is Denny and Twitter influencing here. I mean, I am not bent over it and I would hope Chase would do it again knowing the outcome because he has to stand up at some point and though I don't like seeing people hooked. Well, Denny had it coming.

FUCK, I hate that it is at that track every year. I get it is late in the year and the weather and all that but shit. Put several tracks in a hat and draw one two weeks before the race or something. At this point all you have to do to be a champion is win a race and be good at Phoenix.

The atmosphere is what draws the fans in. We have more fun outside the track then we do at the race. Believe me, I've fallen asleep on more than one occasion watching the "race" on that boring track.

Denny and Twitter influencing was for the fans. NASCAR has the same telemetry data, not to mention access to all the video as well. I don't think Chase meant to right hook Hamlin as much as door slam him. But, play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Hopefully there's adjustments to the short tracks package for next year. Or they just bring back HP.

Dude, NASCAR constantly takes the temperature of the sport across several platforms. They are gonna do what makes them the most money. Fuck, we have access to the same data that NASCAR does for the most part. We all know Chase is guilty but NASCAR still can't prove it. They made the move everyone was yelling for. And that is fine, but let's not pretend NASCAR knows something we don't on this matter.
