Probably will regret it but i am interested in how this all turns out.

 

Tried to get to Chinns lake but there was still too much snow and with the warmer temps it was deep and slushy. Camped at a spot just about as far as we could go.

 

Sounds like you need a heater set up.

Yeah traffic sucked on the way up but once you turn off that tarmac, life is good.

 

the girlfriend and i camped Wednesday-Yesterday. Was pretty shocked how packed BV was on Wednesday afternoon. Found a decent spot though

 

I'd say BV is one of the more popular destinations further than a stones throw from Denver. Lots of hiking and biking to be had around there.

I went over memorial day a few years back and it was an absolute circus. Trailers/campers and SxS all over, plus the usual Subaru population. If there was enough flat ground for a car and a tent, it was deemed a campsite that weekend.

 

It's always packed in the valley from now through September.

 

i mean yeah, i still fucking love it there though. Hard to go anywhere else when you bring the water toys

 

Good evening all. I’m heading out to Colorado for a week and wondering if any of you guys are in the Nathrop/ Salida area? Anyone going out for some wheeling between this Friday 6/2 and next Thursday?

I’d love to meet up and tag along if people are going out.

 

I live in Salida and might be able to get out this Friday the 2nd and maybe Thursday the 8th. I would be looking to do Hayden Pass.

Back in the early/mid 90s Cottonwood Pass was one of my favorite getaways.

I’ll never go back there again.

 

its mostly packed over memorial weekend because of paddle fest which is why my crew goes out there for kayaking and boating. i still have a handful of spots out there that havent been fully taken over by side by sides haha

 

Wasn’t it also some bluegrass festival as well?

 

yeah paddle fest includes music in town and this year left over salmon played.

 

So I fucked up and bought another bike. 2006 Dyna Wide Glide.
Talked the seller down $1400.00 from $5900.00 asking price.
Not my garage, will pick it up this weekend.
