NASCAR has been inconsistent at times, which is probably an under statement. However, they have been taking steps to try and be more consistent and transparent in the last year or so. This is a case of that. Chase being suspended for a week may hurt ratings for a week (ignoring the nice weather outside) but I really don't think that's going to affect them less than if they did nothing. Fans would wine but I highly doubt many would quit watching and certainly not the amount that will likely turn this race off simply because Elliott is not in it.

We do not disagree. What I am saying is that if Denny and Twitter had not blown up about him being suspended he would not have been. It is warranted and the correct thing to do. But NASCAR is trying to satisfy the masses. Had Denny not made his comments and hence Twitter not blown up. NASCAR would have nothing to say about the incident. In my opinion. Meanwhile, the majority of the fans are CE fans but in this case, such as myself. We are best to shut the F up because our dude is in the wrong.
