Rivets showed up today so I finally get to finish my Scepter gas can holder.
Always a fun time when I get to use my anvil and peening hammer.
Now my least favorite part of a project, waiting for paint to dry.

Visited @TK421Tuning (trdquoc) in OC for the Overland Tailor Tune (OTT). Loving how different my truck drives now.

All good but I’d move the OTT tune to the top of that list

I did the same mod/upgrade with Dave Easa's harness--plug-n-play with my 2021 TRD Sport but not the same for other models.

A new roll up cover today, the factory tri-fold took up too much space in the already small bed. I think it looks so much cleaner. Proven Ground….. I’m shocked at the quality of it. Let’s see how good it holds up.
Tail lamps tomorrow and a set of FN pros next week.

It is aside from the PITA cable protectors that are in the tailgate and the bed.
Read through this thread and you can see what people have said, etc. Ignore the stuff about cutting anything. Purely plug and play.

I was gonna do my oil change today. It's the first time I'd be doing an oil change since I put on the TRD skid plate. I completely forgot to check if I had an extension that was long enough to reach up to the oil filter aaaaaaaannd, I don't have one long enough. So I had to move all my stuff back up to the apartment and get one tomorrow. Wish I had attempted the oil change earlier in the day so if I didn't have all the tools I needed, I could run out and grab one and be back with enough day light left to finish the job.

Got my final numbers back towing my boat trailer up north. Traffic for the first half was bad, spent 2.5 hours around 35mph, then the rest of the 4 hours between 65-70mph.
My truck is lifted 2.5 inches, running 265/75/16 duratracs at 36psi. Bed of the truck was fully loaded, cab had 2 adults and 2 kids, boat had a cooler strapped to the deck as we ran out of room inside.

Things I did to help mpg were a tune, and I added the sport front valance. I got 18.85mpg calculated with math and not the trucks computer (though it was pretty close). I will say if your lifted, and you tow, adding the sport front valance does infact help get you back up to a more stock mpg.
