Back in the late '50's my Dad worked summers and school holidays in the factory where I currently work (his father was the HR manager and had started in 1949 when there were only about 20 people in the company - now we have over 500 here and are part of a large international conglomerate).
Anyway, Dad would tell a similar story about when he went into the assembly area. At that time they were set up at large round tables with about a dozen women at each table.
One day he could walk by a table and all the women would be chatting away having a great conversation.
The next day he could walk by and no one was saying a word, all just grimly staring at their parts.

I can't imagine using such a new version of Autocad!
    We're stuck on v2002.
Actually only use it to pull up legacy drawings - use Solidworks 2019 for most everything.
I think we could upgrade to a newer version of SW, but there are some people using 3rd party apps which don't support the newer versions.
SW still complains that I need more resources - have 16GB but it would like 32 and a faster processor, but I don't usually work with large assemblies, so it's not too much of a problem.

Just found out that I've been sitting around the last 2 days, while a customer was needlessly waiting those extra 2 days for his unit.. because our customer service specialist just didn't do his job. My productivity and efficiency numbers are in the toilet now thanks to someone else's laziness :annoyed: ok, rant over. I'll get to work now that I know what I need to do

It’s for the baked beans! J/K
Actually, they’re VERY handy… you use it for frying AND for boiling.
No need to stink up the house for these things. Of course, most of us down here ALSO have these…

I like to play with my food and there's not much I don't have

This stuff would be funnier if it happened to someone else... :(

Mowin' along (lawn #5), singin' a song (Fountains of Wayne) and out of the corner of my eye see a slender brown snake  rapidly traveling towards the mower discharge .

An instant later the engine started to labor so I shut off the deck and headed to the trailer.

The snake was a piece of Paracord about 50 feet long.... Well, 5 feet at least.

A very pleasant 20 minutes spent with the mower 1/2 on the trailer ramp chopping and picking it out of the spindle.

    KIMG3131.jpg

Then finish the lawn and two more for a total of 7 today. :bananadead:

    ...And back at the garage.

The luxuriously air conditioned garage I might add, 24,000 BTU of got it for free cooling.

Meanwhile, back at the electric meter:

At this rate I'll never get the lawn mowed.

you can find that coating to spray on the underside of the mower deck.

So the grass will not stick.

The commercial lawn service people are out there in all but the hardest rain.

It doesn’t work so well. I’ve tried that, Teflon, powdercoat, rhino, etc.
It’s really a sandblaster under there and nothing is durable. Best you can do is wash, dry, spray a film/wax coat each outing…

Or, and just hear me out here, I could wait until it's not wet.

It came down pretty good and it's still rumbling so no mowing tonight. With or without PAM. Kid even got sent home early.

The rain we had this morning and afternoon put a damper on my deck work. Muddy mess.
So putting new spindles on. $23.92 each from Amazon. See how they hold up. Looks like pretty identical part except no KOYO bearing...these got Chi-bal :rolleyes:
