Right. You'd need to re-allocate occasionally to keep the balances roughly equitable. And find the level where you can pull enough income, but leave enough so that you can cover fees/taxes.

I wish I was smart enough to actually program this and back-test it with data.

Theoretically you could do it in excel with a VB script to pull data and back-test it for years. I am, unfortunately, too stupid to do this on my own.

There is portfolio back tester but it doesn't simulate a daily/regular skimming of profits. Maybe it can, but i don't think so.

 

A very simple way to watch it fail is owning $NRGU and $NRGD? Same principle?

 

Some of these earnings options plays are crazy...IDK what you can garner from this before earnings but the $370 LULU calls with the stock at $328 today were $200...and STILL not profitable with it going up $43 after hours...the premiums today were insane

 

It falls apart on down days. I know you think stocks only go up but that's not the case. lol
