1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

I'm just messing with ya, even 10ga is up to the task I'm sure. I'm going to put angle iron along the bottom under the bed for it to tie into. My rack loads the bed rails vertically unlike some that are angled and push out constantly so I don't think I need insane beef.

 

Even this 3/16" is freaking insane

Afterall, I'm sure you've read about how weak these beds are and any sort of trail running will cause cracks and worse.

I actually am looking for a skid plate. I’m not too worried about the bed though.

 

Your bed has a higher chance of cracking than you hitting something on your skid

 

My oil pan and diff are exposed rn tho, I don’t even have the stock skid
