Lucky you. I got two broken lamps this week. PITA.

 

Those are an excellent platform. If I was spending 20-30k I’d personally go for a minty 80 series. I just love having that 90s cool factor.

The OOA videos have seemed tame recently so maybe they’ve toned it down. I wonder how much of it is the local yahoos going up there and hooning around in their mud trucks. You’d think they could just do that on their own land though.

 

I definitely get it. I just don't have an interest in dailying an old solid axle truck.

 

Even most 100 series are more than they should be nowadays. They don’t have the classic cool factor like the 80 series but people still want 15k for a 250k mile example.

 

I thought my LC was actually comfier than my Tacoma. I bet a GX460 is a lot more refined than either though.

So next on the list is an Abus, but as far as Master Locks go the 140 is the start of 'actual security' with tighter tolerances

Just picked it 3 more times now and what I can appreciate is that the tighter tolerances allow for "false sets" with the spool pins. You'll find yourself resetting the pins a few times if you overset or falsely set one of the spool pins (what they're meant for).

Can't wait for an Abus as well as a LOTO Master Lock.

 

It is somewhat unfair to us Toyota people who are good stewards of the environment and land. For example, we had approximately 150 attend the meeting at the beginning of May. After everybody left, I went around to check the grounds and take away the trash bags. There was not one scrap of paper, gum wrapper, or anything on the grounds that was left behind by the attendees. I'm telling you that I got to hear plenty of stories about other meets where the ending was not like that.

 

Sometimes I wish it was the 80s when new trucks were actually affordable to the average person.
