But the spot you have pinned brings up the place on tray mountain rd after you go past tray gap and take that right. I really hope that gate is open for you. I'll make a trip up there to drive that road. It use to be the most "challenging " section on tray.

That road from the AT parking area is permanently closed, as is the other end off Chimney Mountain.

Yep, I went up to Indian grave gap and it connects. To tray mtn.... You can't get to the overlook do to a fallen tree. I'm now back on Indian grave gap rd camping in one of the spots.

Enjoy your night up there. It's great weather to camp. We have the tent set up in the yard by our firepit. Haha

When setting up camp on Indian grave gap rd a guy looking to get up to the overlook stopped by my camp site and asked if there was an alternate way up. He had a group of friends up there so the tree must have fallen recently

I've came upon down trees at Charlie's creek before. I just cut them and winched them to the side of the trail.

I came up to that and luckily the Jeep on 40s:bowdown: behind me had a winch and we were able to move it.

For sure, glad you got the road cleared.

after waking up and taking down camp i met up with @Scott B. at the chatuge gun club and watched a shooting competition.

Picture of where i set up camp after back tracking from the fallen tree. (taken in the morning after making coffee and taking down camp)

Me and my family stayed at a cabin right across from Tray Mountain Road entrance. Wanted to ride up Tray but heard my 2wd won't make it so..... oh well enjoyed the view and the fishing and I did get to see many yota's turn on to Tray from the deck of the cabin!! Wahoo.
