I'll trade both 80's for a nice big bore enduro. I want to fix the alternator on the lifted one so it can be driven away. The other one will need trailered because the head is off. But the head is fully machined, rebuilt & still wrapped in plastic sitting in the back. I've got the receipt totaling almost $1000 bucks for the work done to the head. Now that I live here at the cabin I no longer have a garage to do any major wrenching.

A garage is such a nice thing to have. I'm outside on my driveway with the front end of the GMC firewood truck in about 100 pieces. I had to come inside to rehydrate.

 

It's just a house for my wife's Lexus. It's not a real garage. I can dream.

 

I need to stop for a visit and to check out the other 'cruiser, I've never seen that one.

The stock one I bought from the original owner. It was never modified or offroaded. It has a beautiful frame & undercarriage. And of course it's also 3xlocked. It took me 2years to find a affordable rust free triple locked 80. I deflared it. Everything works including the power antenna. Leather on the front seats is worn but my lifted one has a beautiful interior so I planned to swap the front seats.

 

I've been eyeballing & researching the KTM Enduro 690r. A enduro would be nicer than a Harley up here on the mountain.

 

Thats a great bike. I get torn because how how inexpensive the klr650 is; the simplicity. A klr + lockers and re-gear for the tacoma is less expensive -combined - than just a truly great bikes

I understand that. Honestly since I bought my sxs I lost interest in trucks. My sxs has selectable front & rear lockers and with its smaller size it goes anywhere. And it's street legal here. 8 of us was down in town yesterday, @greengen1 was with us.
