What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Mine's actually the same colour as yours! It' just the lighting. But I love the AC. I agree, I bought this as I liked the simplicity of the 3rd gen!

 

Just swapped out the stock tires to my dream set of 33’s! Wife approved LOL Stoked to go wheelin’ later this month on them!

 

replaced pcv valve and cleaned throttle body. new westward torque wrench, purchased through grainger, failed, snapping pvc in half. moment of slight panic, but got her figured out.

 

I built a PVC fishing rod holder and zip tied it to the rear UpTop rack. Working on a GoFSR 270 awning and a custom mount, hoping I can sneak this in between somewhere

 

Installed my Softopper, need to readjust the side rails, they’re a little crooked and just need to be loosened up and repositioned, but it was super hot out and as a ginger, the sun is not friendly to my skin. Now it’s about to storm and I’d rather just do it when it’s a bit more temperate. Still need to seal the seams.

Either way, it looks great and was super easy to install, probably took me about half an hour, and it looks amazing.

Also got my first Tacoma Lifestyle order in, with my Me-So Keyfob and patch, and I love it. The buttons feel stiff and I’m afraid the buttons will stick, but I think it just needs to be broken in, not that I hit the buttons with the fancy handle. Also, Me-So, your packaging design is absolutely gorgeous

Today I decided to try the Cerakote rapid ceramic glass coat windshield kit.
One of my bigger mistakes. Even after following the instruction video, I'm left with
horrendous streaks that I can't remove.
I will most likely have to have it polished out.

 

my guy never mentioned the transmission is it not part of the tune?

 

will you put anything on the end or just leave it as is?

OTT? I would ask him, it's possible it was included and he didn't mention it. Did he ask about your gearing, tire size transmission type?

Noticed the road hazard picked up in my tire yesterday drove home and the good thing was most of the nail broke away on the travel home telling me I just picked it up from where I parked. I think I'm good no bubbles.

 

gave the truck a wash, pulled it in the garage, and the chrome grille strip started giving my the stink eye last night.

so at 7:00 last night, pulled the grille, sanded the chrome, primed, and painted it. then forgot the hood was open and touching the overhead door. went to close the overhead door while out walking the dog between coats of paint, and gouged out the front edge of my hood...

but the grille looks better.

 

That is one of my most cherished memories of my uncle. I think it was a Ford though. He's driving, his 3 girls and one of my brothers, then I'm the anchor on the passenger door with my arm out the window. Just around the corner from the house he turns left onto a major roadway and I go swinging wide, running along the sid eof the truck with my armpit holding me up on the door. "GET back in here!!" He only vaguely slowed down. . .

 

Had this happen to me in Bitburg Germany when I was about 5.........
Family was going along in the mountains in a rental Mercedes and back in the 70s to open the back doors you had to push down on the handle.

I clamored up to the back window over my older sister to get a better look outside to the mountains, and happened to push down on the handle......

The back door immediately swung open and I proceeded to swing out, me hanging onto the door for dear life. My sister grabbed me by the back of my shirt and yanked me back in.
My sister STILL brings it up to this day.
