Hahaha yeah I'm still fighting with the insurance on that one. They approved the prescription after a one month delay but then refused to fill it at 3 different pharmacies so far. They gave me one in Englewood and another in Ohio that they'd pay to fill it at


Pole Hill is supposed to be like a 3/10 but I'm curious how it looks with all the rain we've been getting. My friend has been really wanting me to take them on a wheeling trip so I figured that would be the first on my list

Just popped PO115 halfway to Vegas, coolant temperature sensor.

It read high once but hasn’t again since. currently parked idling with the heater on to see if any coolant leaks

Not leaking coolant, temps are fine for the moment. Is this something I can run the truck 3 hours on or should I be weary

 

Just reset it and see if it comes back. Pay attention to of the trucks getting hot, but just because the sensor isn't working doesn't mean the temperature is an issue. If you aren't leaking, run it and see what happens.

 

is it a v6 or 4cyl? if its the 4 be super careful about over heating. The head likes to crack right at cylinder #3 between the spark plug thread and a exhaust valve.

 

It's just the sensor that's faulted, not going to have other issues as long as his water pump and coolant stay functional. The advice you give is the same for both the V6 and i4 as the V6 has cast iron block and aluminum heads, a recipe for trouble when things get hot.
