That sounds like a good business model. Garage space to rent by the hour. I would pay to use an enclosed space with a level floor and also a lift.

I used white lithium in a spray can once or twice a month for almost 2 years while I waited for my rack to shit the bed.

We've been tossing this a bit. Not 100% if we are gonna do it, but, she is totally on board, and willing to contribute..

    http://encore-rv.com/rog12rk/

I've always tented it. But I have Stacey, and while great dog(several, here have met her) she is typical Belgian, and incredibly protective and a high drive. And I don't want to deal with THAT again if she feels something gets too close while I'm sleeping.

Won't lie, the idea of having THAT in a site(state forest, dispersed, whaatever)especially on a weekend like this, is incredibly enticing. Heat, A/C.... I can add hot water easily..

    I don't want anything bigger.
Yeah, cheaper options, but, depending on the brand, quality isn't there, or, certain features...
Only thing I need is 3, 100a/hr Li Ion batteries...

Anyone have experience with Mazda vehicles? I don't need dealer info, my daughter in Texas is going to look at used CX 5 and I wonder how the reliability is.

Everyone I know with a mazda is happy. Seems akin to Honda/Toyota reliability.

Commonly suggested brand on reddit for car advice.

I believe the Ford partnership ended a few years prior to the CX-5. The CX-5 replaced the Mazda-badged Escape.

Ford sold most of it's shares of Mazda stock in 2008. The Mazda made, Ford branded and vice versa vehicles were all phased out after that.

I killed ours with 8,400 miles on it, but it was very good even after being up on two wheels and bouncing off a telephone pole. It's been seven years and my wife still talks about how she misses it. I can't comment much on the longevity of the car sadly.

The only negative I remember about them was that at the time when they were new they were roughly the same price if not slightly more than the comparable RAV / CRV but in the second hand market they didn't hold their value nearly as well. I don't know if things have changed since.

I just finished building a hardtail and initially really wanted the Nukeproof. They want like $300 to ship so the frame is a good deal but you’re going to spend some money getting it to your door. I’d ask what the intention of the bike is going to be. I was looking at the Nukeproof Scout, the Commencal Meta HT and a few others, looking for a hardtail with aggressive geo and a 150 mm+ travel front end. If you want something more cross country oriented, I’d look at something with 120-130 travel and a steeper head tube angle. I ended up buying the Commencal, it’s an absolutely machine but it’s clearly made to be ridden hard and take a beating.

I don't think that my daughter will care about the trade in value as she tends to keep her vehicles for a long time. She's had her 2012 Civic Hybrid since 2014 and it doesn't have a lot of miles on it, but it's going to need some work and she needs a bigger vehicle since she essentially carries her office in her car.

Also, being Texas things are sort of spread out. They don't talk about how many miles away something is, they talk about how many hours away it is. Her boyfriend's Dad lives in South Padre Island and it's a six hour drive from Austin. When my son lived in New Jersey, that was a four hour drive in comparison. We could drive to NJ and back in the same day if we had to.

My high school friend (RIP) and his wife lived there..near San Antonio. Her family got her mom on the plane to visit and figured they sent her 2 cities/towns over so it can't be that bad, was a 5 hr drive they made for her

That's a cool looking bike Mike!

I didn't know they wanted that much to ship it. I'm just looking for just a nice riding trail bike. Something that will take a 130-140mm fork. If I was going to spend that much on a frame I'd get some like Stanton or a Salsa.

Honestly I shouldn't even be thinking about this right now anyway. We just spent a ton of dough on our Florida trip and plus my son is going on his DC trip tomorrow that we had to pay for right after getting back from FL. I need to give our bank account some relief. Lol
