Haven't taken it out yet but am impressed with everything so far (minus the price of their quick release brackets - $125 for brackets... oof. Using good ol butterfly screws for now).

Picked up a 2013 on Thursday and this thing is next on the list. I want a forever truck, and knowing about potential problems is high on my list.

Thanks! The engine was getting a tad warm when idling on trails for extended lengths, so placed them right over the headers. I thought they looked a little better closer to the body line but would have caused issue being above my air filter.

Taking the roof rack off for another project and found that the asshats at the body shop stripped a few of the roof rack bolts and didn't bother replacing them. Dremel to the rescue so I could get a thick flathead screwdriver in there to take them out.

Mostly stock, just getting it to my liking, just happy to have had the taco and now my 4Runner.
    Oil change, 145k.

    Checkers is much happier.

Next up will be my 150k milestone and a tire rotation to see how this trial run on this brand has worn in.

Of course that remains to be seen if I find a 2011-2017 4Runner or manual 2011-2015 Tacoma that fits what I want more and can trade out lol.

    Just some stuff...
I shoved a couple rubber o rings between the bottom edge of the face of the radio and the top lip of the metra face plate if that makes any sense. Yup, metra sucks. Eventually I'll switch to a Scoshe.

Got one side of my bed build done. I remembered I had a couple boxes of laminate flooring in my garage so I used that on the surfaces for free. Will be carpeting the base once I build a pull out sleeping platform. Taking forever as I'm doing a small peice at a time as my schedule allows. Back cabinet doors hinge down with a shelf inside for storage. 20230604_144621.jpg

first step to swapping from a 'piece of foam' to a sofa that unfolds into a bed. Next steps are to cut the platform and use hinges to have it fold away (under the mattress) to form a sofa with footroom. After that it's a more-waterproof type covering for the new mattress, that enables it to fold correctly. I test-fitted; am 6'1" and can sit on the two folded (with the 3rd section as a backrest) with at least a foot clearance above my head.
