why?

 

here lots of people have cabins but maybe its because we have lots of lakes.

 

more people here go for something on the ocean like a beach house or a condo at least. apparently a cabin in the mountains or on a lake isn't exciting enough for america. i personally would choose a cabin over a beach house.

or were you talking about how it's more common to have a luxury or recreational cabin in canada?

 

when you mean cabin at a lake do you mean a house on the lake like right on the lake and the cabin is pretty much exactly like your house at home but maybe smaller?

 

it depends on how well off you are or how big your family is i guess. my parents have one that's almost as big as our house. it's just one bedroom shy of being as big as our house. but some people have cabins that are literally one bedroom, a kitchen, and a bathroom; because they are older and don't have kids to take with them anymore. most of the cabins are about the size of the house or a little smaller though. generally smaller because they spend more time outside there than at home. this is all accurate for my region anyways.

 

ya because i was meaning the 'almost a house' cabin.

nope. most "tourism dollars" are a State based thing. That being said, most tourism is just from other state visitors so no need to pay more for them when they bring in most of the dough.

 

don't you think thats a little hypocritical? you want canadians to come spend money but you dont want to help get your own country out of debt?
