Yes I know this is a done to death topic, but I've tried to narrow this down to some pretty specific questions.

The plan is to go with 5100's at all corners. A set of 17" rims with a -12 offset (4.5" bs) and a cab mount chop as well as a tube bumper and possibly fender hack.

The goal is no more than 2" of lift and run a set of 285/75/17's or something in the range of 33-35 inches. Mostly a daily, but also get out to trails pretty often. Nothing crazy, no king of the hammers here in KY.

My questions are: what setting on the 5100's would I need to achieve a 2 inch lift? Or should I just get a wescott kit and not run the top spacer? Are blocks in the rear good enough? Can I run the desired size of tire with what I am considering? And if I can, would 4.88 gears be adequate or should I just go big or go home and get 5.29's?

Start by measuring current ride height and comparing left to right.

2007 the rear springs are probably pretty sagged, and the left is likely 1" lower than the right on front and rear, so new springs are likely in the books.

Westcott lifts are preload spacers and top hat spacers, they rattle teeth out.

I'd say if you wanna keep on tight budget, go 5100s, 4th clip right, 5th clip left, and 1-2" block in rear. Cab chop and send it.

Ideally, new front coils, new leaf springs.

The OME coils fit over the 51's?

5100 with factory spring will give you the lift you want on 4th clip. but they are going to be super stiff. i ran them before.

some will say to run the ome 885 spring on the 5100. that way you dont preload the spring. never tried this.

First thing what is your budget? Then go from there. I dropped my 09 off today to get a Dobinsons lift installed all the way around and SPC upper control arms.

Budget for the suspension itself would probably be somewhere around the $800-$1000.

That opens up a pretty good door. I went with Dobinsons IMS because I can get the lift I want if too high lower to correct height , if too low raise it. Its a little more but you get exactly what you want.
Now my budget was more than yours went with Dobinsons front coils IMS front and rears their 111 leafs, extended brake lines, ECGS bushing, SPC upper control arms. I'm going up inches and I don't need a spacer at all.
Picked up at @Eitoffroad talk to Mike tell him what you want.
