Well I canceled my allocation. Build date week of June 19th. I am going to look for a cheap truck to get me by then wait until 2025 ish for the Tacoma to be sorted out. I do like the 4cyl turbo idea along with the manual trans. We will see.

Yeah I tried and failed to get PIOs removed two months before the truck even hit port.

Yeah I did too. Since PIO’s are included in the MSRP I imagine it would be a hassle to change if you could at all. I couldn’t see paying like 400.00 for floor mats so I had to choose a different truck, everything was the same but no floor mats. I’ve always wondered why so many people quickly remove the predator steps, they are a PIO that they probably didn’t want

Yeah my first allocation was a no-options TRDOR with 4,500 bucks in PIOs. Basically had the whole catalog thrown at it. I turned that one down, and it sold a week after getting to the dealership.

The one I ended up putting a deposit down on has ~500 dollars in PIOs. I'm just sucking that one up because manuals are impossible to find.

I’ll suck it up, I suppose. Other than side step tubes, floor mats, and $70 worth of charging cables the truck is exactly what I want. Thanks for the help. Now to just wait.

Considering we are going into the last few months of 3 rd gen production the manuals are becoming unicorns, good you managed to snag one

It’s the dealer junk you gotta watch out for. When I first started this quest I was quoted 47k OTD price for an OR from the salesman the he disappeared for 10min and came back with a 52k OTD price from the manager, I couldn’t get out of that place fast enough

Mine has a bunch of things I don’t want too. About $800 worth. It’s still the cheapest of the 4 coming in of Lunar Rock with long bed. I ordered none of it but they can’t take it off.

Last I saw there’s one that’s still available at my dealership (Minnesota) since they went a little crazy and are getting a bunch of them. All Off Road with advanced tech and premium package.

    Definitely. I got insanely lucky.

My sales rep felt bad about the PIOs situation with the first truck and found me another allocation that hadn’t been put on their public website yet. This was back in March.

There is a dealer near me that is getting 6 but they are still doing the market adjustment bs, so I guess I should have said I couldn’t find one anywhere without getting reamed

    @DragonPro23

I’m looking for any updates on 3TYCZ5AN3PT146494. I was told by the dealership the truck was built and sitting in a port. Any more info would be appreciated. Thank you.

A lot of it depends on the timing - after a certain point the system doesn't allow any changes. Sometimes, even if a vehicle *should* be changeable it just doesn't take in the system. Your mileage may vary, so to speak.

Would you run this? VIN: 3TYDZ5BN2PT025510
Supposed to be this week but I have not noticed any changes. On a time crunch to come in next few days or it will be later in the month pickup this week.

I got stuck with what seems like all the Toyota added PIOs but no dealer add on hooey (I quickly said no to 'discounted' protection packages). Wanted to premium for the seats and heat (-45 dictates heated seats around here and Don't want to put them in cloth seats). I wanted side steps and I'll deal with predator steps. I also wanted tonneau cover, mudguards and of course LED headlights. I know how it is, I won't add later. I like the tail gate lock, floor mats and bed light. Don't even really mind door guards. Got stuck with blackout package (eh it will look ok on white). Was most disappointed with the stupid roof rack - IMO ugly and I won't use (it's a LB.....). Dealer requested roof rack be deleted by Toyota, no bueno. Did not get stuck with cables, wheel hub bolt covers, bed mats (have one) or anything else.

That's why I wanted the premium package too! Heated seats are amazing! My husband has them and I always have mine on during the winter in his car. It's too cold to not! Granted we're in a heat wave right now and he also has air conditioned seats (Mazda Cx-5) so I've been using that too... haha.
I'm getting door edge guard, floor mats, bed light, and mudguards. The website says it also has a chrome exhaust tip but it doesn't show up on the Toyota app so I wonder if my dealer was actually able to get that removed. I'll find out later today I suppose!
I kind of wanted the black out package but I didn't want to pay for it, I just wouldn't have argued if it was installed. It should look awesome with the white!
