You fishing off the surf with your truck on the beach? What’s the process for the beach pass and how much?

I’m actually fishing on my brother in laws boat. I do have a vehicle pass for my truck. Basically go on DE site and apply for the pass, it’s about $150 but worth it. There’s no limit on how many they’re allotting this year

I don't have Fish Surfing Pass. Apparently, since there's no limit of the passes given, they keep attendance through reservations.

New Surf Fishing Permit Reservation system.

Nice! What are you going after?

Thanks for sharing Ed, I’ll have to check it out and decide between that and the MD one for the beach driving.
I get the Veterans National pass for the day fee at MD but still have to pay the yearly.

    G'morning MD.

After years of trying to make-do, i went with a real, honest-to-goodness mattress in the bed instead of pieces of foam. The full-size mattress folds in 3rds. It's sitting on a sheet of plywood now - but will cut the plywood in 3rds, then hinge so it can also fold up. Think "Futon" in the back of the truck. For normal stuff, it'll sit like a little sofa facing the tailgate, then at bed time will unfold to be flat.

Thinking of mounting a table somehow - maybe a table-top-on-a-stick (center mounted), or using part of the plywood sheet to kinda fold up and into a table. It'll take some figuring-out.

    Good morning MD
IDK how you guys manage to keep up with this thread. Even when I checked it daily I couldn't tell what was happening haha.
Any fun stuff going on/offroading group rides getting planned for the summer around North/Mid MD? In Taneytown area and hoping to make some better use of the fresh rubber than I did with the stock. Ended up going with some 265/75R16 Falken Wildpeak AT3's and I am in love with the look and feel (albeit the braking has taken a bit of a noticeable hit).

hiya! Yes, this thread - flows quickly!

There’s a NJ trail run (likely wouldnt need 4wd so-says the organizer) next weekend. There’s a meet and greet in delaware city coming up.

Neither, however, fit the “north/central” criteria

Anybody here in Maryland looking to get some OEM tube steps out of their garage? I prefer the 5" oval OEMs if I can find them for a decent price! (I'm near Annapolis and Lanham mostly)

To each their own, but I think it makes sense to buy some running boards off Amazon. The Tyger ones seem pretty solid.

Side note - getting an oil change at bmw of belair - they quoted $189 labor to change the fog light bulbs in my 228i. Disgusting.
Oh! But free snacks in the waiting room!

Service guy said “the book quotes 30 minutes per side”. Gross. They fall back on “labor book says” and do so to the detriment of customer service.

because i am a solutions-guy i offered “if have it up on the lift, and if i can change them both in 15 mins, will you refund the $190?”

of course he laughed it off. :-/

Not opposed to travel, but the further it is the more worth it would need to be ;)
No 4WD required sounds not worth for that distance, not that I have an overly capable rig...
Isn't part of the point of group rides that you get in over your head so someone else can help and everyone works together to get the group through, or am I missing the mark?

Post your planned group too. I did that a few years ago and we had several members from here that went. @Scrovak, @2ndhandTacoman and @An3 joined in.

$500 Dave drives a hard bargain! I'd love to have that 80 series.. who knows, maybe the stars will align one day and I can become the keeper of that amazing machine. I was blown away during my CO trip 2 years ago at how well the stock 80 series rigs were doing on the trails, most of them were only running 32" tires.

So basically, their labor rate is almost 2 Ben's an hour??

I had to venture into the city this morning for an appointment at the VA hospital on Greene St. While zipping across Fayette St, I swear that you almost needs a trophy truck to have a smooth ride. After the app't, I went across town to Canton Square, I haven't been there in a few years. I had Looneys hot wings on my mind. I ran into a problem- Looneys is just a gutted building! I walked into Claddagh's instead and had some great wings. Bummer about Looneys, I had plenty of good times in that place.
