Well I had an incredible last several days.



I didn't get to fly it for long but honestly I had more fun being a passenger and letting the pro show off. The plane was open and I could literally reach out with my hand at my legs height. The feeling of G's is so awesome. He traced a clearing in the trees to demonstrate "environmental masking" or something along those lines and then revolved around the tree as if we had a machine gun on it. Then we went to a nearby lake and flew over some boats pretending they were old destroyers and u boats and if they waved they were friendlies lol. It was incredible and surreal being ~600' up, leaning out and looking down with nothing but air between you and the ground. I'm pumped to go sky diving now.

Then after a great day I chilled with my sis and her boy friend/ my good friend. Tim did you go to that Strawberry Festival? I don't believe it was too far from you.

 

Jason, you lucky bastard! I thought to be able to fly a plane you had to be 21 or something. Thats really cool you got to do that.

 

Nope. You can fly it solo with a pilots license at 14, same as a boater's license. We spoke with the guy because he's also an instructor and it's ~ 7k to get one. So much for that idea.

 

Holy Shit!!! I was going to ask if you planned on getting a pilots license but never mind. $7k could buy a lot of Taco Mods

Have you been to Bay Shore by Hyde park?

 

You should go there in November. They are having an air show where they set up the whole air port like a WWII base with many of the war birds, tanks, guns, and last but most important vets.

No, two different things. I should have replied in your quote. The air port is in Keystone Heights. The bayshore thing is something different. I was just going to say it's a really nice area, me and my sis rode/skated up and down it a couple of times.

 

I ran out of steel, so i'm on hold for another day or two. i put in an order for 72 more feet of steel (3, 24' sections). it should be in thursday or friday. i work on the weekends, but regardless, i'm hoping to have all of the metal work done by the end of the weekend.

 

That's determination. I remember you mentioning running your supplier dry now. I forgot and dang that's a lot of steel. I hope you're getting a better price than I got. For the 1"x1" .065 wall I paid like $90 otd for 40'.
