When you say "already tuned" what exactly do you mean? Are you talking about the pre-packaged tune that comes with the supercharger? Or a custom tune from someone? Just want to clarify your situation to better advise you.

If you want to flash it back to stock (OEM TRD S/C Tune) I have folks who can help you, we have Q in SoCal.

    TK-421 Tuning
    Location: Orange County, CA
Coverage Areas: Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, San Diego, Inland Empire
    E-Mail: tk421tuning@gmail.com
    Web: www.tk421tuning.com
    FB: IG: www.instagram.com/tk421tuning

Keep in mind, flashing (whether custom or stock) will require a credit licensing cost due to the way our software works. Be mindful there are costs associated with these licensing credits/time.

I can sell you a device with pre installed credits that will allow you to flash the vehicle back to stock yourself. If that's an option you'd prefer. Shoot us an email at info@overlandtailor.com for pricing. With this device we can (at a later time) send you tune files and you can remotely flash/log them.

Little bit of this and that
Depending on how close to Midland you are it looks like Sharue High Performance is also on the list as a OTT tuner. @JustDSM are they set up and ready to tune? I'm in Abilene but make trips to Midland pretty often for work.

They should be fully operational this week. You're welcome to reach out and get the conversation started if you have something in mind.

Ok, had some significant exhaust issues that I’ve been juggling my time on. My collector weld cracked in the worst location on my equal length headers (driver side). Since resolved. There were many leaks only detectable under pressure with soapy water before the AFR sensors at the manifolds. Since resolved with oem gaskets and elbow grease.

junction between header and ‘yipe’ (URD mk3 exhaust) has a leak small enough to blow bubbles at a slow rate under vacuum exhaust leak test (vacuum giving tail pipe some blow).

cant get any better without bending pipes and re-welding flanges. This is the result with permatex copper.

it’s technically downstream of the AFR sensors. Is a leak between the headers and the y-pipe going to have a Venturi effect that could affect the upstream (by a few inches) AFR sensor readouts (and in turn fuel trims)?

Also, on throttle close, is a lean condition expected, even if DFCO doesn’t kick in? If so, how long are you guys leaning out for?

How large of a leak are we talking?

If we're talking pin-hole size, no.

More details? If you've got a significant the delta between on/off throttle, you will get DFCO.

I should also mention/remind folks that these ECU's aren't the most well equipped hardware/software wise for characterization and control of injectors 2x the size of the OE injectors.

Definitely pin hole sized. Enough to slowwwwly inflate bubbles (from one spot on perimeter of flange interface) with a shop vac taped up to tail pipe.

been trying to learn from the TRD tune direct and NOT waste your time (until I found some proof that I was actually ‘ready’ and things were problem free). Will get you a screenshot showing what I got going on.

You're not going to adversely (in a meaningful way) affect the measured AFR in the collector to the point you'd experience trims drifting with a leak that size at that location.

    Sounds good.

I’m sure you’ll have a good laugh at my attempts to tune to the exact injector specs (yes I pulled to ensure each s/n was cylinder matched and further put the calc deltas in for offsets and more).

Had everything setup, realized I didn't take screenshots of timestamps. Corrected and pm'd will continue on there.

Anyone out there willing to take a look at and give me some feedback on my latest program/data log. I am pretty happy with the way the truck runs, wondering if my long term fuel trims need to be addressed. Any and all tips and feed back would be appreciated

It's been a minute since I've been here.

What's the latest method to flashing these days? Are you using Beta Suite or the tried and tested?

    Thanks!

The latest full release has everything needed for Toyota. Nothing in the Beta is Toyota centric at this time.

    Thanks @JustDSM !

Not sure if you got my email last week, but I can re-send it if not. Basically has some questions on the A/T Temp light, idle speed and fueling of my recent manual swapped Tacoma. Please let me know if I should re-send it. Thanks!!
