Before this weekend, I hope to get the truck to work and run across the scale to see how much weight the bumper/winch/skids/sliders/battery have added.

Ahh, not sure why but I thought it was Memorial day weekend. At least now it makes sense that you were working while everyone else was out fishing.

Are you guys camping? Or going to a resort? Casino??

My ex and I stayed at a casino up there for a weekend years ago. It was a good time! I hope you guys have a blast!

It’s Labor Day…. Maybe that’s why you thought that. We rented a tiny house. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do. I Really wanted to do a houseboat rental, but I’ll have to plan that for another time.

I've never set foot in that swamp. Had a little fun with MySpace back in the day and Twitter for a bit and then decided social media really ain't for me. Unless you call these here forums some kind of social media... then I guess I'm all for it.

    Sounds awesome!

A houseboat does sound very cool. I could actually picture myself living in one someday. It's one version of retirement that I fantasize about.

I was on Myspace for a bit before it dwindled. I avoided FB until a few years ago, when I joined partly by accident, thinking I had just signed up for messenger.

I decided to hang around, and my experience has been mostly positive. But, I am not very active on there. I look at what I like, and generally scroll right past what I don't like.

It got me in touch with some people I lost touch with. I've also deleted a number of friend requests from people I didn't think I needed to reconnect with.

It's definitely easy to find stupid shit on there. It's also not hard to scroll right past stupid shit.

My wife signed ME up when she needed to find someone. Then I got all my ex-girl friends from HS and college looking me up... Jesus. Don't use it for much other than to stay in touch with people I never see anyway.

I was depressed when I ran my second gen across the scale in DD trim with literally no gear or tools. Full tank of fuel, me in the drivers seat

I signed up for FB back around 2010. Had people friend request me that I didn't even know. People at work were bragging about how many friends they had. Most that they didn't even know. I got rid of it after I made a comment about the laziness of today's college kids. I created a huge shit storm. I got back on about a year ago. All I do is follow a couple of Toyota groups and a group for just people at work. Reading all the complaining can be fun.

MySpace was neat in the fact that if you knew how to do HTML coding you could really have fun designing your page.

It adds up fast 50-75 lbs at a time. I know I carry 416 lbs of extra gear/tools in my first gen including spare. Figure probably about the same on the second gen too on a serious wheeling trip.

    -Softopper
-35’s on aluminum beadlocks, no spare
    -Weld on sliders
    -Plate bumpers front/rear
-Front belly skid but no tcase skid
    -Zero other armor/plating

Picture for reference too, apparently I take almost zero recent pictures of the second gen lol. It’s hardly a broverlander truck. DCSB 4.0/auto, single FJC manual tcase, stockish travel front, stock rear axle.
