What level you at in D4? I'm about to start a Necromancer run. I like to play solo and being able to raise the dead to help me is gonna be the only way I complete this thing solo.

 

I played Diablo 1 many years ago. I still play Skyrim from time to time. Looking for a new game. Elden Ring, D4, or The Witcher 3? I do like the open world stuff. Any recommendations?

 

Witcher 3 is possibly the best video game ever made. It really is that good.

Elden RIng is one of my other favorites. It's not nearly as polished as The Witcher 3 but it's way more challenging in terms of combat. If you can handle dying over and over it's From Softwares best work so far.

D4 is still to early to tell. It's gonna be good but I'd buy both of those before D4.

summon necro got a massive nerf, it's basically non-viable, fyi. I'm level 38 on a sorc and 42 on a rogue

 

@theesotericone I'm taking my time, so I haven't even beat the game yet. I just started act V on my rogue. I'm probably gonna do a Druid next if you want to play together. The way the level scaling works, any group can have people at various levels, but the enemy instances are geared to you. So if I'm level 80 and you're level 20, I'm fighting at 80 doing my relative damage, and you're fighting the same enemy at level 20. I don't entirely like it, but it does make it so people of all levels can play together fairly.

I did summon necro/corpse explosion in the first beta and it was rediculously overpowered. They nerfed it by beta 2 and now bone spear is the necro build d'jour. I would imagine everything gets re-balanced a 100 times before the end of the year though as they figure out what they're doing.

I'm doing a twisting blades rogue to level (melee) and I'll switch to ranged for end game content.

My sorc I started with a fire/lightning build and now I'm on Ice/fire for now.

It's just as good. Not as nostalgic as the D1 and D2 soundtracks, but those still show up from time to time in d4
