Let’s just celebrate we got to make it through high school with 70s music. Those poor 50s kids had hair bands.

Good evening all, I hope it isn’t past your bedtime.

Maybe we finally got a spring day without a 15 degree drop in the 50s and thunderstorm. We’ll see.

I took the truck in for a bunch of stuff that I don’t have time to do myself. I’ll give them all day to work on it. I use a Big-O shop I’ve trusted for 30 years. I know the owner and how she manages the place. I need the driver’s CV axle replaced due to split boot and flying grease, machine flush out the coolant and replace, drain and fill diffs, tcase, and tranny, replace serpentine belt, evac and fill A/C (seems not as cold as it should be), try to figure the bad creak around the rear right leaf spring. I’m at 184,000 miles and want many more.

Have a good evening. Keep safe and healthy.

    Evening all:

    Sue!

Not sure, are you referring to the Pic. of the critter and wondering what it is?
If so, it's a baby groundhog, usually I'm looking at them through the crosshairs of a rifle scope! o_O
If I had a garden it would be gone, and fast, probably that young I would just relocate it, they are cute when they are young.

Hummm, trying to contact Sunoco as to where to send the paperwork for a new battery, couple of phone calls and a couple of e-mails and so far no response. I'll give them a little time and then contact the FTC who originally made them honor the lifetime warranty that they tried to weasel out of, that should get some results, I hope!

Yup, and no standards, not even in the near future. Everyone's still trying to establish their pissin' grounds and while they're all going their own separate ways, money is being wasted and compatibility suffers.

Evening Carl, yes, wondering what the critter was. Have seen full grown ground hogs at my sons last house, but never any babies. He sure is cute. Good luck getting ahold of them.

Ford sold a tractor with a lifetime warranty and weaseled out of honoring it. The Jubilee was made after the N series tractors, was a little larger and more powerful, and the lifetime warranty isn't even mentioned in the Wiki listing of the tractor.

I'd be most interested in whatever documentation you can find of that warranty, whether from Ford, or from a mention in industry literature. Vintage Ford is a hobby of mine, and though the '53 was a bit too modern for my taste, I'm surprised that that info never crossed my path till now.

No, it's a private forum that tends to take a very wide view on what is "political" and what isn't. And, my caution was just to caution people because we've had people disappear for periods of time as a result of a slip of the tongue.

Oh, and thanks for the Army - and personal insult. I won't drop to your level and take an unwarranted shot at the Navy. I'm thinking the U.S. Army IS part of America...but, hey, cheap insults are all the rage these days.

Peace, guys and Sue. Devious 6, Out.

    Welcome to the thread.

Interesting you would mention Saginaw Bay. My SIL's cottage is bay front property. I always enjoy the vacations there. I will post up pics. Is it possible to post pics from my phone to the thread if I am viewing the forum from my phone.? I might have to take a tablet when we go fishing.

I hope that charging stations are not mandated. One reason I am confident that EV's will be common place is, in 1920 there were only 15,000 gas stations in the US. By 1930 there were over 100,000. A substantial growth in a period of only 10 years. Only time will really tell.

Good morning! Met with the aquatic therapy facility and we set up a schedule for 2 sessions a week from the middle of June till the end of July. I session for water and 1 session for land therapy every week. The good thing is the times of the therapy sessions allow me to do the cardio work in the gym with no conflicts. Today is all about obtaining fishing licenses for the family for June 12th in Michigan. Such a busy day. LOL ;)

This article mentions the lifetime powertrain warranty close to the end into the page where it discusses warranties.

    https://www.farmsunseed.com/ford-jubilee-vs-8n/

I'd expect it would be difficult to find any documentation from Ford unless you found some original literature or contracts.

    Morning all:

Tom, the reason I mentioned Saginaw Bay is because I've seen some Ice Fishing videos of people catching some decent Walleyes there.

I recently read an article where some of the charging stations were vehicle specific (Tesla) and that they are now changing them over to accept other brands.
You would think that it would be Federally mandated that all chargers and receptors would have to be universal to accept any EV that needs to be charged. :notsure:
Of course, will probably be like an ATM, you will pay an additional fee if you are charging a competitor's vehicle.

Interesting about the Ford tractor with a lifetime warranty, and they then weaseled out of it. Over the years I bought lifetime warranty this and that, all went the way of the Dodo except for the battery. I had posted about the battery before, Sunoco must have stepped on someone's toes for the FTC to step in when they tried to weasel out of the lifetime warranty, and the FTC then mandated that they honor that lifetime warranty for as long as the original purchaser owns and drives the car that it was purchased for. :)

    Dealer Service suggestions?
I have a 2019 Tacoma TRD Sport with just under 30k miles. I went in for an oil change and tire rotation today (free oil change with coupon) and the dealer recommends for "immediate attention"

    "Fuel System Cleaning"
"Perform complete fuel system cleaning, pressurized fuel injector cleaning, clean throttle body, decarbonize upper engine and addd fuel additive to gas tank"

All this for the low, low price of $241.81. I passed on this service. First, do I need this at 30k and second, $241 sounds pretty steep.

    Thoughts?
