I stopped at a dollar general in some hick town yesterday. Their cooler had malfunctioned so they were giving away cold cuts, smoked sausage and cheese. I took a few things but I bought a bag of ice to put it in.

I smother mine in hot sauce and the girl at the drive thru the other day told me 'that's a new one' when I asked for a bunch of TX Pete packets..
Apparently most people put butter/honey or ketchup on em . . . they sweet enough as is - hence the hot sauce

 

Yes, we dip in ketchup or tarter sauce. I cant eat a bunch of them maybe 2 at most.

 

Long John Silvers is the only place I’ve found to get any here. I like to put’em in pinto beans and pace picante sauce. Made in San Antonio by folks who know what picante sauce is supposed to taste like
