    It does sound like it would be a good time, it's pretty far from where I live though, and I work every weekend. Looking up crabby dicks, man I would love to go, I just have to try to be conservative with my PTO time though. Weighing a years worth of "weekend fun" against each other. I gotta go off-road if I'm using my precious pto time.

    Maybe next time. I'm off every Wednesday-Friday. Until it gets busy then... Yeah I'm not off. Ever.

    @GunthorNC

    Good morning,

    That's unfortunate that you work weekends and I understand how precious PTO time is for you.

    For the time being, my job is M-F/0600-1430, no weekends.

    I'm also taking PTO for my birthday at the end of this month--in the past, I've not been concerned with taking the day off.

    It's very important to take care of yourself...mentally & physically. (I would say, everyone needs a break from the rat race) lol

    Stay tuned into the thread to see what activities take place.

    Hi NJ friends. I am posting because while doing work getting my truck ready for wheeling I found some damage to my front diff. While the truck was on my buddies lift I noticed the driver's side CV where it goes into the diff there was a ton of play like up and down movement of the axle. I have an ARB so no I can't replace the needle bearing with a bushing. After a few calls to ARB and ECGS the diff needs to come out and the ARB needs to be rebuilt as the bushing in the ARB is somehow worn out. ARB blamed it on me not having a diff drop (no thanks) and I am only running about 2" lift max. So me and a buddy start the fun of removing the front diff and low and behold when we drop the front diff the passenger side diff mount is snapped in half (it appeared fine bolted to truck but when we removed the diff it fell apart). So I am thinking the diff mount has been broken for awhile causing extra movement of the diff thus wearing out the ARB bushing- thats my guess at least. So anyone have a spare diff laying around with a passenger side diff mount they want to sell? I am sure the 3rd gen 4runner and tacos use the same mount. I also am pretty sure the 1st gen tundras and sequoias also used the same part. So anyway that is my current situation. I also will need a new CV axle as there is a groove worn into the shaft right about the splines. I was going to get a new set of axles from cvj axle in colorado. Feel free to offer suggestions or bust my chops haha! Cheers and thanks NJ yota bros. Hi cynical rider I am Pats friend Joe we met once at RC.

    I've got a spare front diff, not sure about the mounts. Those front ones on the 4runner were prone to cracking and they are indeed very similar as the tacomas. A good fix is to weld a plate across the horizontal web on each side of the mount. With that said, if the mount cracked that could be a sign the rear bushing is worn as well causing excessive drivetrain movement, check the rear one too.

    Edit: here's the fix

    Ah yes! I did think about gusseting the new one if I can find one. The passenger side is thinner than the drivers side. Is it possible to weld the broken mount and gusset it as a fix?

    Hey Joe! I actually have a spare front diff with mounts on my other spare diff. You'll need to transfer the stub shaft from yours though because I took that. I'll PM you man.

    Stay safe NJ. Forest fire in Jackson hits close to home.
