I have been looking at the CBI skids. They seam to have the best fit and finish. They are also matched in thickness to the thicker ones I've seen which I like. They appear to slope in a tiny bit where as Cali raised ones seam to keep their width the whole way down.

I know I'm nitpicking, I just need **something** down there, but what's your opinions on the best skids I could buy? And bonus question, does anybody besides c4 make a rear diff skid? Their finish seams the worst, save they don't powder coat so trying to avoid them.

What are you going to do?

Rock-crawling? RCI can cover engine back to rear differential, with control arm coverage and cat covers.

Mall-crawling mostly? TRD engine skid with holes for oil filter and oil drain, and some claim it is more "aerodynamic" than the square-ish RCI (I have RCI, it does not look aerodynamic but protects ...).

My steel engine/transmission skid and aluminum cat covers add 100 lbs. TRD aluminum engine skid is 25 lbs I think. If mall-crawling mostly extra weight will eat into MPGs.

It's going to be 99% daily driver, and that 1% of the time I'm going to want to get into the heaviest shit I can and want to avoid breaking things.

RCI will sell you the full set, if you can wait for manufacturing lead. Well north of $1000 for all.

Just stating the fact, not recommending.
