You looking for stock or wanting to lift?
If you’re looking for stock just look on rockauto, they probably got ‘em pretty decent price for just oem height coilovers and rear shocks

    4 run, 2 don't
What you're looking for is a set of coilovers (front).

A shock and coil assembly is a coilover.

    Rear simply uses a shock.

Bilstein 4600's will be your friend, if you've got a 6 lug that is.

You have Coil springs Over shock absorbers in front as one complete assembly. In the rear you have leaf springs and shock absorbers.

Most folks will replace the front shocks with (Bilstein 4600s are a great option) and reuse the front coil spring (unless it's totally shot, which is entirely possible). The coils are a little harder to source, as finding a non-lift option is not popular. You'll need a shop to perform this work. Dealing with coil spring compressors is tricky business.

For the rear, General Springs/Doorman/Huskey all sell the same set of leaf springs. They're ok. And again you'll want a set bilstein 4600 shocks for the back.

Well, you're certainly in the right place to learn about these trucks.

I encourage you to do as much research about a project before ordering and getting things off to a shop to do the work. Understanding the parts, and how the work is supposed to go will really help you in the long run of vehicle ownership.

There really isn't a definitive way to determine if your current coil springs are bad. But realistically, they are a wear item, and they are 20+ years old. Replacing them is a great idea. However, like I mentioned previously, sourcing non toyota OEM equivalent coil springs is a bit tricky. There are lots of after-market options if you are looking to lift the truck, but very few outside of the Toyota OEM springs for stock height. It does look like Rock Auto has a few options, which I am sure are fine. Mevotech, Huskey, Dorman, are all OK. Probably more Tacoma's getting around on Dorman springs than OEM at this point.

I still would highly recommend the Bilstein 4600s for the front and rear shocks. For the front, you'll also need new top caps and related hardware for the shop to do the installation.

For your brakes. You need to do some more research. The front of these trucks have Rotors and Pad Disc brakes, while the rears have Drum and Shoes. So you don't need 4 drums, only two.

There are a few notable differences between the 4600 and 5100 series shocks. Mainly that the 5100 front shocks have three spring perch settings so you can lift the truck, and valving that is more suited to offroading. The 4600s are VERY close to what the TRD trucks rolled out of the factory with. If you're considering off roading then 5100 with OME 880s (coil springs) will give you a small lift (1.5"). Companies like Wheelers Offroad will even preassemble the coilover for you with a new top cap, so installation will be a breeze for the shop.

You generally order brake parts in separate components. You order front rotors, front brake pads, rear drums, and rear shoes as individual parts.
