I don’t have an issue with touchscreens. I just think they look much better integrated into the dash. I think it’s called having style?

I'm ok with a large screen, but yea...whats so tough about integrating it into the dash?! It obviously doesn't need depth. Seriously. Does anyone know why 80% of manufacturers refuse to build it into the dashboard?

Off road has multiple camera views instead of just rear camera for reverse.
Can show multiple programs at one time, map, audio, favorite contacts as example

The Infotainment screen in my Highlander is amazing.

Sure, it took about 3 minutes to get used to but I love it. It took me longer to get used to the kick ass rear view mirror.

Next Gen GX 550 with touchscreen integrated into dash. Looks much better.

It is a bigger vehicle though so they have a little more freedom to do this

You bought a '23? Did you trade a 72' Chevy pu? Look at the size of the screen on others like RAM trucks.

That is pretty dang good. Not busy and refined. The Tacoma’s looks like it is trying too hard to appease the guys who had Transformers when they were kids. It is a bit tacky.

Odd that they are using Lexus to go after the overland crowd, can’t say I see many built up running around. Tacomas and 4Runners carrying RTTs on the other hand, can’t swing a dead Pokémon around without hitting one…

You do see a couple GXs, typically bought used because they can be had cheaper than the 4Runner.

I spy rubber floor mats standard.

Yeah 14" is ridiculous. The PreRunner trim is what I'd get if I were in the market for '24.

I traded a 2020 F150. It had a screen that was the same size as my new Tacoma. I found it distracting in the Ford and also in the Tacoma. Easily as distracting as using a cell phone while driving - needs to be outlawed in the front seat of a vehicle - or minimally disabled while the vehicle is in motion.

Ford integrates the 12" into the F-150 dash pretty nicely IMO.

We have a RAV4 TRD loner for a bit, has the 10.5 screen, it does sit up high, a little weird at first. However your eye doesn’t have to fall as far, gps map is a heck of a lot easier to see, and the backup camera is great, so much better than my current Tacoma. Think the 14” will be perfect. Since it is bigger and higher, believe it will be safer. Feel like have to take my eyes off the road longer in the Tacoma, like to see what traffic on the gps is like so I can try to avoid it.

I agree. I have a 10" Kenwood stereo that I put in my OR and, at first, it really felt too big...almost silly, actually. Now, I wonder how I functioned without it. Satellite view in navigation and the map is still a good size when using android auto. I think, the 14" (which seems to have a really small bezel) will be great.

It is like when desktop monitors started to get huge, thought wow this thing is massive! Now can’t live without it.

It's not just the silly size, it's mostly that it looks like they didn't even try to blend it into the dash. I mean c'mon, it's the center piece if your whole interior.

Agreed, the Lexus GX 550 is much better. 4G Tacoma interior looks a bit slapped together. Broken record here…it is a bit Transformerish. Lot going on in that dash. Like a car model building dude kept on gluing pieces from different sets together to make something. And what a something it is…
