Someone should tell that to the crows. They eat a lot of baby robins.

Crows acting like boss on bald eagles. Eagles sorta tolerate that mouthy ass attitude.

Was a little late planting this year but April up to mid May was fickle. 75'X125'. Corn and Beans in first week of May, rest a week or two afterward. 14 tomatoes, 6 Zuch, 8 yellow squash, 8-9 peppers various kinds, row of okra, row of sunflowers, a couple cantaloupe. 3 runs of hot, 1 ground on electric fence and no deer since. Blue berry bushes (about 4-5 and not shown) are loaded and should come in mid June I'd say. Also got a big 10' fig bush beside wood shed that puts out a good crop if we have a mild winter.

My old bird turned 26 years old on May 21. The oldest I had ever heard of one getting to before him was 25.IMG_2611.jpg

Something is eating my cherry tomatoes and creole tomatoes before I can get to them. I never had this problem before, so my only reaction is to go buy a game camera and find out what time it’s looting my garden at.Once I get that figured out….it’s on

Haven’t seen any robins in this area in years, no coons either. Only thing I’m thinking is a mocking bird, rabbit, or squirrel. Actually I’m almost positive now that it may be the mocking bird. I almost forgot that it had an attempted robbery in broad daylight about a month ago when my creole was still small. It snapped the whole plant in half, but I was lucky enough that there was still a small thread left attached so I was able to put it back together and it still growing healthy and strong

Something has been knocking my hummingbird feeders out of the trees at night to drink the nectar and chew holes through, thinking its a damn racoon.

...^^^... that is a beautiful bird.

I had a male African Grey that I got when he was only 57 days old (not even able to perch yet). .. paid $800.00 for him.

Big job taking care of him the first few months ... his food had to be the perfect temp or he would not eat it (peanut butter and this other stuff I mixed).

I thought I was going to choke him everytime I fed him with that syringe and his belly looked like it was going to pop after he was fed.

He was my super buddy and the vets and bird trainers around here .. said he was the smartest Grey they had ever seen ... maybe smarter than Einstein African Grey ?

Since I was retired ... we spent our days together and he picked up everything .. I mean everything.

After about 4 years, I had to give him away because I was really getting allergic to his dander or bird dust.

I kept his cage super clean but the dust still got to me and caused asthma.

Oh ... he was a male AF Grey and after he was around some female humans, he was less friendly to me and more friendly with the ladies ... lol

Crows eat most song bird eggs. I hate crows and shoot them any chance I get.

On the plus side most states have a hunting season on crows. In addition to crows and ravens, magpies eat tons of song bird eggs.

That's a bummer you had to part with him. Some people that develop allergies to bird dander gain relief by having a HEPA filter in the room with the bird.

...^^^... Did 2 HEPA filters and was even designing a down flow (under the cage) air filter system.

I didn't know that you can also get ... "Bird Lung disease" and "Asthma" from some of the larger birds if kept inside the house.

Agreed, most states do. Except Cali, they consider them "migratory" birds. The state held up the start of a construction project I ran back when I lived there because of nesting crows. Held it up for 3 weeks, until I got tired of the bullshit and bought a drone and flew it up there and there was nothing in the nest.
    Stupid state.
