Respectfully disagree. Michigan, as a whole, is a fine state (their laws and stupid caving to big labor notwithstanding). But Detroit is just ONE shit-hole...easily escapable... Whereas the entire state of NJ is within NJ.

As a life-long fan of Seattle sports, I feel ya. As a whole, it's been 40 years of "meh" with a few bright spots thrown-in.

 

My grandmoms house was on S. Decker Ave. I was young but I would walk with my Grandfather and Uncles and they would all go down to Canton Square and have a few brews. The bar maid would give me a coke in a beer mug. How is your back healing? You haven't mentioned it much, so I'm hoping that it is good news.

 

I grew up on Hudson & Potomac. My grandmother lived in the 900 blk of S. Decker. I think we had this conversation before lol. Back is doin great since the surgery, thanks for asking. No more sciatic nerve pain down my leg. I was down in Berkeley Springs walking the pup for 3hrs today, felt great. Tomorrow I'm either going to do some mountain biking down at Cacapon state park or do some chores here on the property. Either way it feels great to be active again.

Good morning! I heard the air quality up there is going to be awful today.

 

It’s real bad. It looks like one of those photos you see of China where you can’t see anything because of the haze.

Apparently it’s because of the Canadian wildfires.

I noticed that too, yep I believe that’s why.

It was pretty bad when I was in Montana too, woke up one morning and you couldn’t even see the mountains anymore. I didn’t think it would come this far south though.

 

wildfires in NJ as well. I was near Lakewood, NJ yesterday and the sky was all smoky as well.

 

It’s all relative. Air quality isn’t good, but could be so much worse. At least we don’t have high risk of actual fires (knock on wood).
