Funny, looking back, when my 2nd GEN was a year old, how much people on TW hated them; the 1st GENs were the best, then when the 3rd GEN came out, all of a sudden, the 2nd GEN was regarded as great. The same will happen to 3rd GEN owners here soon, and they will be grandfathered into the “cool” club. This forum is crazy like that at times.

I really enjoy my 2nd gen but I’m a big fan of the creature comforts the 4th offers.

Yeah me too. At a point, Toyota has to innovate or fall behind. Sometimes, I feel like T4Rs and Tacomas sell so well that they refuse to innovate and compete in the market. The prices, on the other hand, as @ChamYota said have gotten out of hand.

Thing I noticed on the release and have yet to mention. The light bar in the grille looks like it features 4 reflector LEDs. Was that designed to mimic the look of identification lamps?

You think the boosted 4th gen Bros will envy the 3rd Gens N/A motors? 5th Gen will be CVT Hybrid or all ‘letric :D. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Not gonna lie, I hated on the 3rd gens when I had my 2007. I really like my 3rd Gen though. It has some nice tech upgrades that I like, but it’s not overwhelming. I feel spoiled driving the taco after driving the Jeep for a year. The Jeep is a terrible daily driver.

Mine aren't even really 33s. 285 75 16. They quickly became normal to me and made me want 35s. Haha

I would have went with this size if I could have found some for a good deal. A lot the vendors I buy from don't carry it and not a lot of brands even make it.

That's my point. You have go up a good bit in size to have the same amount of sidewall with a bigger wheel. Plus I can get a 315 75 16 cheaper than a 285 75 17. You have to pay more just to have a bigger hole in the middle. I wish our trucks came with 33x10.5R15 from the factory.
