I have a super white 2022 I just sold with the ugly grey steelies I painted them on day 1 with rustoleom industrial black. Never chipped and looked good for almost two years before selling to caravana. My 2023 gets in next week in black and the first thing I'm going to do when I get home is put that fucker on jack stands and sand and paint the wheels, not that painting the wheels is such a huge mod but something about dropping $36k then immediately taking all the wheels off in my carport makes me feel like maybe I'm doing something stupid even though it will look much, much better than stock gray.

What's the biggest mod you did on day 1 or close to it of a new truck?

Before you get all crazy, be sure to ask your dealer if this will invalidate your wheel warranty.

I once took my dogs to the beach on day 1. I enjoyed approximately 45 minutes of new car smell before that went away permanently. When I picked my 2018 up, part of the negotiation was to take the wheels, tires, softopper, and a few other things off of my trade and swap it to the new truck. That was probably the biggest day-1 thing I did, but that's peanuts against the biggest thing overall.

Really, day 1 or year 5, whats the difference... If you know what you want, send it.

My apologies, this was a wise guy joke, not serious instruction.

Well, at least you provided some lightheartedness for the staff coffee break where they discuss customers. Without being prompted by me......

Had my 2019 SR a few months and took off the lower dash to install keyless entry. Wife unit saw me with the dash in the floorboard and said “you just got your new truck and you’re already taking it apart.”
She really wasn’t surprised she knows I “do things to stuff”.
