I would never drive a turbo Toyota! Xtra cab is stupid!

Didn’t the turbo only last 2-3 years? It was a stop gap until the V6 came out.

After offering an access cab for the past 18 years, does seem like they are going back in time, and it looks like going Back to the Future isn’t what it used to be… :)

This is the turbo some think Toyota is using in the 2024. It's leaps and bounds beyond. A current Toyota VGT turbo is a different animal all together.

    That 3.0 V6 wasn’t the best either.

New turbo looks great, doubtful if I’ll buy a 4th Gen though. Eyes are on a full-size now.

I am old enough that I bought one of those when it was a few years old. Was finicky and never felt that much more powerful than my NA 22re powered trucks. The only thing they had going for it was the heavy duty 5spd trans.

Upgrading in a few years when I retire.

    Looking at this currently.

    https://intech.com/rv/models/ovr/adventure/

Timing is off for the 4th Gen, by the time they work the bugs out of the 4th Gen, 3-4 years, and for the hype to wear off, I’ll be ready for a bigger truck. Mind will probably change 1000 times before then though. Almost bought a F-150 instead of my 3G, wait was too long, and the new Tundras weren’t out yet. The Taco works for now, but really could use a bigger truck.

One of the guys I know has a Tundra 8’ bed, plus tows a travel trailer. Really like his setup.

I didn’t see the Tundra bridge bit, but I did take to the streets to see Endev go through Inglewood in 2012!

Was crawling all over them the other day at the dealer, I really like them.

Give me an 8’ bed version of this.

I just lost my 3rd gen due to a negligent Forerunner driver :annoyed:
    IMG_1544.HEIC.jpg IMG_1619.HEIC.jpg
I would normally wait a bit before jumping into a new engine, but being forced to find a new vehicle sooner than later, I am hoping to jump into a 4th gen... only wishing the more powerful engine would come in a manual tranny :( Its nice though that the new turbo 4 without the hybrid technology will put out more HP than even the V6 currently in production! Newer turbos are much more reliable than they were in the past

At the end of the day, I may just get have to get a 2023... But, a lot depends on how much I can get out of the insurance company to reimburse me for my vehicle and how long I can keep borrowing my father's Highlander Hybrid!

My wife’s Mazda with their 2.5t hasn’t burned a noticeable amount of oil between 7500 mile changes over the 60k miles she’s owned it. Maybe it burns some, but it’s not enough to notice
