just a couple of things tbh
ive been thinkin hard on it! ive also looked at the ktm and husky options since they are lighter and more dirtbike like but have more power and better gearing then the klx but at the end of the day an adventure bike can go farther and be comfier!

also found out skda does graphics for the t7 :D

ya id imagine it does so it is an odd want lol but hey nothing wrong with wanting an old dinosaur! id still love to keep the klx and just have it set as a toy for around town or more serious ish trails but idk if i should have two bikes, track toy thing, truck, and two trailers, and an atv lol( trying to sell one trailer and the atv)
ya exactly plus if i get comfortable with it i could actually ride it out and do a group adventure thing! would be fun to do with peeps in here at least but with the klx id be waaaaay behind haha

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
I say keep a dirtbike and get an adv bike. Ya really need both! Brappp

Agree with this. IMO the dirtbike builds the skills and the ADV let's you take advantage of those built skills over a larger range.

Speaking of, finished another Dual Sport this past weekend with @HuneyBear69. 208 miles total over 2 days, and completed all the hero sections which was my goal for this year.

Here is a drop in of one of the hero sections:

THis section had several more smaller versions of this. So much fun.

    And photo dump:

My tire changer got put to use by two people.

I want to get a dirtbike, wish I was closer to trails and didn't have to haul it somewhere. First world problems I guess... but the weekend goes by so fast it's nice to just hop on the bike and ride. I'd consider an ADV but don't know where the closest trails are and feel like I'd be on pavement most of the time. Need to do some research on what's around

Lol this is my struggle...I really want a true dirtbike, which isn't street legal here. But I want one that I could throw some supermoto wheels/tires onto and take on the streets if desired.

Yup I had the same thought for my 701, that I could eventually get a dirt setup for it or go with an 80/20 tire. Seems like it always comes back to the ideal solution of having more than one bike

I think the ideal solution is having at least 4 bikes (1 cruiser/cafe/naked, 1 supersport, 1 dirt, 1 Ural) and living far enough away from the city that trails are a hop skip and a jump away, and you have to go through twisties to get anywhere.

    maybe that's just me though

Im in Downsville NY. 100 miles done since 9am. I think 75 or so left until section 1 is done. Rough stuff. Ill definitely feel it tomorrow and into next week.

pic dump, first covered bridge, and then exactly what we were talking about. ZO6 or vintage Land Rover?
