For those that are curious about the Canadian wildfires that are smoking out the US, here is a good bit of information on iti will paraphrase it but due to how remote the fires are, many are left to burn naturally as part of Canadas fire management policies. These fires will only be stopped by winter so for the next few months, it's gonna be smokey around north America.

Thanks that's good info to know. I was surprised how thick it was down here, even next to the ocean, then finding out where it came from was more shocking. The only times we get smoke here is if there's a fire going inland and even that's only happened a handful of times. Going to be an interesting summer.

Did you watch the Chernobyl drama documentary on HBO Max? It's pretty good

 

No I'll have to sail the 7 seas to watch it but I'm interested.

 

The book Midnight in Chernobyl, which is what that series is based on I think, is a really solid read, or listen. It really exposes how messed up the whole soviet system was and how it contributed to the accident.
