    I'm calling it! This month's turtle will be the Western Painted Turtle! I had 2 of these little fellas in my pond at one point. I believe they are the smallest painted turtle variety, but also the most colorful in my opinion. They have brilliant red markings on their shells and a deep olive color. They were both very sweet. :)
