Well I'm not there but key on the pump runs enough to build pressure then shut's off with the key on.

Also ran test light through relay and 1 doesn't have power. But both grounds check out and 5 has power with key on or off

If all you did between running and not was wire up the electric fans have you tried disconnecting what you did after it ran?

maybe something was wired up wrong with the fans causing this?

I’m just guessing…you have 2 of the best helping you. they’ll get you taken care of!

Someone didn't know what they were doing, I get so frustrated hearing and seeing the same story over and over with shops and dealers. It seems most want to either follow a flow chart of which many are crap or just throw parts and not learn how to actually diagnose something. IMO it should be a requirement to know basic electrical, how to read and follow a wiring diagram, and how to use test equipment to be a diag tech, it's not that complicated.
So have you verified all fuses in both fuse boxes are installed and good?

His did not have a check engine light on with the key either and probably no com but he didn't have a scanner at the time to check.

Wow 5 years is a long time for a vehicle to sit, we may run into other issues but we need to get the PCM online first of all.

I don't mind hunting electrical problems when the wiring is stock but when wiring has been modified I usually bow out. Now drivability problems on something modified like that I'm not getting into.

I'm about 80 mi southeast of there, you don't have to tell me how hot it is lol. I've been out there since 7am, if you aren't by a fan in the shop you ain't gona be doin much.

    I wish.

Nope 1st and 2nd gen Tacoma's don't have a key on prime, fuel pump doesn't start running until you start cranking.

Ok so most likely the PCM is missing a power or ground.

I'll get a list of pins and fuses we need to check but right now I'm pretty sure we are missing a power or ground feed to the PCM.

Man that was a lot. Ya drivability stuff I have handled. Built the engine myself with a few friends who own a shop. I'm good with mechanical issues but wiring has never been my strong suit. Especially since I'm slightly color blind so y'all labeling with pin is super nice for me haha
Sheesh 80 miles? Id pay for your plane ticket hahaha

The best thing about my urd procharger was that no electrical needed to be modified. Just had to plug in a piggy back ECM to manage the tuning on fuel and the tech support for it was great. They can plug it in to your laptop or whatever and then you drive it around and they can see where it needs to be adjusted. But it's always ran great only reason I rebuilt the engine was the blow off valve vacuum line got pinched and the heads got lifted because of the boost. So I figured I'm already tearing it down this far might as well do a complete engine build on it

    Yes, check all the fuses.
    15A IGN is important.
    The 10 ETCS as well

I have a weird feeling this going to be a ground issue.
    There’s like 9 different grounds………

So far every one that I've tested has all been good. First thing I checked was the ground for the ECM that's located on the back of the block on the passenger side. It's nice and tight, and every wire y'all said was a ground on the phone ECM itself was good. I hope your right. I really do. I just want this thing to run haha

    There’s a bunch……
If you know how to read a diagram and ground chart, you can sometimes get luckyif other things don’t work. Like the blower motor…..

But that doesn’t always work. The ground could be broken at a splice or wire broken all together.

I’ll add a ground point chart. You can try other things tied to those grounds and see if they are working.
If you find all the things on one ground point not working, your diag just got easier.
There’s multiple ways to diag electrical. I prefer to start with the common that are linked to each other.
Don’t over think this, I’m just did the chart for reference. We really need to find the missing link at the ECU.

It's funny because I actually have that book so you guys can always just tell me what page it's on and I'll check. I checked ECM one. It had like six things on it. But I don't know which wire off the ECM is the ground to the one on the chart. I feel like a broken ground may be the issue but it's probably broken mid wire since I pulled and reset the engine

Alright, I will pull plug diagrams and number.
You could back probe the ECU and use the .pdf from the other thread.
    But that might get complicated.

    Gove me a few minutes.
Let me find the plug pin outs and pin numbers.

@Dm93 can you provide the actual picture for the ECU with plugs labeled (I know you have it)

    Check the following for Ground

    Plug E4 - Pins 6 and 7
    Plug E5 - Pins 3, 4, 6, 7
    Plug E6 - Pins 1
    Plug E7 - Pin 35

Great, then back probe the pins.
    Here is the ECU pinout.
Just back probe the same pins I posted above.
